Taylor

Oh my gosh! Today is the day! Ok, ok, calm down me. Let’s wash up, put on your clothes, and eat something. It’s 7:37am, so I’m not due at the lab until 9am. I’ve got time, so no need to rush. AW MY GOSH I’m so excited though!

Hiroshi

Hmm, I have to be at the lab by 9am. Let’s see here. Oh, I have about an hour and a half. I’ll give myself another hour of sleep. I’m just receiving a pokemon; it’s not that special…

Taylor

I get to have my very own pokemon! I wonder what it’ll be. Ooohhh I’m getting so excited just thinking about it!

9am

I rushed out the door. It’s a nice, clear day. I ran down the little dirt paved road to the Pokemon Lab almost right next door to me. Professor Burke was waiting for me at the door. I greeted him with a big hug and entered the door. There were computers lined up against the walls, each with a scientist using them. Professor Burke’s desk was at the end of the box shaped, white building. There, on a white table by his desk, stood three poke balls. Burke saw the excitement on my face and told me to wait on another person around my age that lived in our little community that was coming here to claim a pokemon of his own. So, I waited on this mystery person. I waited.

Hiroshi

Oops. I’m 20 minutes late. Not that I care much. I walked out my place and strolled down to the lab. I walked in and saw Burke staring at me. He was quite peeved. Beside him was my next door neighbor, Taylor Greene. She had her long, wavy, jet black hair pulled away from her face. Her shiny, blue eyes radiated with excitement. It almost bothered me. She had on her favorite sailor suit shirt, a light blue, mid-thigh skirt with leggings underneath, and blue Toms. She turned 18 yesterday, so she’s only two years younger than me. Her peppy, cheerleader like personality made her quick friends with my sister, Kayle, but it sorta irritates me. I’ll at least admit that she isn’t a bad person. Not my friend, but at least not a stranger. Not to mention that she was exceptionally good looking.

Taylor

Hiroshi Newson, my next door neighbor. He was wearing a white t-shirt with an Element symbol on the front, baggy sweatpants, and a pair of Nike Hyperdunks (basketball shoes). He had black half gloves on his hands to complete his athlete-like apperance. His face, though, was a different look. He had purple emo boy hair with a bang that covered his right eye. His left ear had three small, silver hoop earrings running up his earlobe. His eyes are a deep red (which is really odd), and under them is a dark line that looks like eye liner. I remember he showed up to my birthday party yesterday and I had asked him why he wears eye liner, and he told me that it's more of a ill-placed birthmark. Lastly, there’s a small lip piercing just under his bottom lip. He’s about 6’1, which is only 6 inches taller than I am. He looks completely Asian, though his father is American, like me. He’s honestly scary, and his “I don’t care about anything” demeanor and serious personality only add to his unlikeability. Though I will admit, he can be really funny and playful when he allows himself to be, like at my party (the last 10 minutes). I like him, and I’d love to get to know him. Not to mention, but as scary as I described him, he is really handsome. Like, he is SEXY!

Professor Burke

They both waved at each other, said “Hi”, and then, they just stared at each other. I didn’t know what they were doing, so I broke up the awkward moment.

Taylor

Professor Burke stepped in between us and brought our minds back to Earth. I guess I got lost just, well, checking him out. Apparently, Hiroshi was doing the same, because he had the same surprised expression as I had. I felt a bit embarrassed, yet I couldn’t help but feel good about myself. Hiroshi was checking me out!
