That night, David wakes up screaming & sweating. "That was ur second nightmare tonight, u know?" Matt mumbles, slowly opening his eyes & facing David. He's resting his head on David's chest. David has his arm wrapped around him,with his palm fondling Matt's shoulder. "I lulled u to sleep after u woke up screaming the first time. I kept a glass of water on the nightstand, help urself." Matt offers. "That herbal medicine's miraculous! I can move my hand & my shoulder doesn't ache anymore!" David exclaims, stretching out his hand to grasp the glass & take a sip. "Now, tell me about the nightmare." Matt asks. "It's the same one again & again! I dreamt that I was forced between going to prison or letting u rot in prison! If I went to prison I'd lose Georgia & my kids & if I'd let u rot in prison, I'd lose u! Maybe, it's the guilt of not surrendering yet." David replies. "Well,I reckon u'll make the right choice." Matt reckons,before pecking him on his unshaven chin & rolling off the bed to return to his own bedroom. "Smithy, let's head home before something develops between us,'kay?" David asks. "Sure. We're leaving first thing tomorrow, mate!" Matt agrees. "Bet Georgia would be pretty mad if u & I eloped, eh?" he jokes, peeking in at David again. David chuckles, before falling asleep again. This time, he sleeps peacefully.
