Seeing Snow in a different light (DT & the kids series)

Chapter 1

Georgia's visiting an old friend at the hospital & the kids are at summer camp, so David's left alone at home. He's bored, so he decides to check on the Wayne-Sandburg family. He's surprised to see 'em packing. "U folks goin' somewhere?" he asks, curiously. "Goin' on vacation!" Midge replies. "Oh. The kids too?" David asks, unhappily. "Yup. What brings u here?" she asks. "Felt lonely. Thought I'd pop o'er & spend time with the imps!" he replies, breaking into a toothy grin when Rory, Rose & Ellie rush over & hug him enthusiastically. "Ooh! Another Tardis ride?" Rory asks, hoping for a yes. "Yeah...if ur parents are ok with it?" David replies, looking over at Midge & Fergus for approval. "Well,he's harmless. Besides, we'll get to spend some time away from the mischievous little beings!" Midge whispers into Fergus' ear. "Fine! Have fun & return safely! Don't get stuck in some parallel universe or whatever!" Fergus warns, finally approving their adventure. The kids squeal excitedly. "Allonsy, kiddies!" David exclaims, rushing home to his garage where he's hidden the Tardis. He's in for a surprise. "Monkey-boy! How'd u get in here?!" a furious David asks, on seeing Matt Smith fidgeting with the Tardis. "I learnt stuff in prison...where I was wrongfully put after u framed me for stealing the Tardis! I was let off on good behavior & now I intend to return her & turn u in!" Matt declares, angrily, moving closer to David who can feel his hot breath against his face. "U seem determined, Smithy. But, u won't deny the kids their adventure, would u? I mean, look at their cherubic impish faces...so determined to go on an adventure!" David whispers. Matt shudders. "Just one adventure. & I'll surrender once we return, 'kay?" David promises. "Fine! But I'm tagging along to keep an eye on u!" Matt agrees, eyeing him suspiciously. David hesitates, but finally lets him tag along.
