Chapter 7

The next day, David & Matt are back to their usual selves, fighting over who gets to fly the Tardis! "U don't even treat her with love, like I do!" Matt argues. "How dare u say that?! I love her more than u do! I ought to sock ya for saying that!" David argues,in a heated Scottish accent. "Don't u mean...snog him?" Ellie corrects, giggling. "Aww, no...why would I snog ur boyfriend?" David teases her about her crush on Matt. She sticks her tongue out at him. "That shut her up!" David mutters, before taking control of the console. "It's pointless arguing with u, Tennant!" Matt grumbles. "Then, why d'you bother arguing with me, Smith?" David shoots back. "U're ridiculous!" Matt ridicules. "Back at ya!" David's quick to respond, with a smirk! "U guys have the weirdest relationship!" little Rose observes & giggles. "Whatever",they both mutter,on hearing her comment. David drops the kids off at their home & later offers to drop Matt off at his home too. Soon, the Tardis lands on Matt's lawn. They both step outside,& are greeted by the cops! "Mate, what's going on?!" Matt asks, frightfully. "I can't go to prison, Matt. I called the cops & told 'em that u'd hidden the Tardis here!" David whispers into Matt's ear."I'm sorry,but I..." David begins to apologize. "I trusted u! Drop dead, Tennant!!" Matt interrupts, his eyes welling up, as he's cuffed. "C'mon...don't say that, Smithy...u must understand!" David pleads,but Matt ignores his pleas. David walks back home, dejected. He rings the doorbell. When his wife answers the door, she finds him sitting on the porch steps, sobbing with his face buried in his hands. "What's wrong, love?" Georgia asks,sitting beside him & running her fingers through his ruffled hair. "I betrayed my best friend!" a distraught David replies with a sob.
