I woke the next morning to Minho shaking me awake, "Sienna wake up!" My eyes shot open and I nearly pushed myself off the bed, along with an unsuspecting Minho. I rolled my eyes as I punched him lightly on the shoulder, "Minho! What was that for?" He smiled slightly and rolled his eyes, "Well... You weren't waking up and Newt and Alby were getting worried." I raised an eyebrow, "Seriously?" He paused for a moment, making me internally cringe, but then shook his head, "Nah. I just wanted to see your reaction. Plus, your job testing begins today and I want to try you out as a runner." I sat up and pulled my light brown hair into a tight ponytail that went to my shoulders. "Well what are we waiting for? Let's go." I yawned as I almost pushed Minho out of my room. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the builders made me a shack of sorts so that I wouldn't have boys lurking around my cot, or something like that. Once we got outside, I saw the real Glade for the first time. Boys were already morphing into their job groups and deciding what would be done that day and so on and so forth. Minho gestured to the huge stone walls that were just beginning to open, "Whenever you're ready Greenie." I rolled my eyes with slight annoyance, "Please don't call me that Minho." He let out a small laugh, "Everyone else will call you that until you all tell them your name tonight at the bonfire." I paused for a moment, "A what?" Minho smiled and acted like he was talking to a little kid, "A bonfire Greenie. You know, a huge fire that stands for a celebration?" I nodded as I rolled my eyes again, "I know what a bonfire is Minho," I then set a slightly faster pace than him, "Let's just get going." Minho nodded and followed me to the opening of the doors. I was just about to cross the boundary when Gally pushed me to the side, "Where do you think your going shank?" Minho was about to help me up but I held out a hand to him telling him to shut it. I helped myself up and stared right into Gally's eyes and answered with a confidence that I didn't know that I had, "I was going with Minho outside of the Glade." Gally looked at me and then to Minho, "That true?" Minho nodded. It was then that out of the corner of my eye that I saw Alby jogging over to us. I gestured with my head over to the approaching Alby, "You might want to check that." Gally clenched his jaw and reluctantly met Alby halfway. I turned back to Minho, who seemed to be in a slight state of shock. I waved my hand in front of his face, "Glade to Minho..." He then snapped back to reality, "Oh! Thanks Sienna." I was about to say "your welcome" but Alby interrupted me. He walked right up to Minho and shook him slightly and asked with a slight bit of anger in his tone, "Why did you think that bringing her outside the Glade on her second day was a good idea?" Minho shrugged, "I told you she was runner material. I wanted to test that theory."
"Not a great theory shank." Gally growled slightly.
"You know what the rules are here Minho. She shouldn't go out until after a week or so." Alby sighed.
I was about to interject when I heard the grinding of the doors behind us. Alby nodded as the doors closed shut, "The Creators must of thought the same as us." I cocked my head to the side, "Who are the Creators?" Minho looked at Gally and Alby nervously, "They're the reason we're in here in the first place." He answered quietly. I gulped and turned to face the almost shut maze doors. The boys hesitated behind me, almost as if they thought I was going to run inside like a crazy person. I nodded at an invisible presence that was the maze doors and whispered, "Just you wait. I'll be out there soon." I was pretty sure that Gally heard me but I didn't wait for an answer. I then turned to them and walked straight past the three boys, who were probably wondering why I didn't run.

*Time Skip*

I was now seated at the edge of the bonfire celebration that was being held for my arrival. I stood with a cup of what the other Gladers called "Gally's Drink" in one hand nervously tapping the edge of the mug with my fingernails. I was watching Gally wrestle some shank that was obviously too weak for him. I didn't know what I felt at that point, but I knew that there was something different about Gally. He was the natural leader by far, but didn't challenge Alby for the position. It was almost like he truly respected him or something. I was broken out of my thoughts when Minho appeared right next to me, "I'm sorry about earlier today. It was my fault that Gally was such a shuck face." I smiled slightly, "It's not your fault Minho. I think he's just normally like that. Then again, you would know it better than I would, I've only been here two days now." Minho nodded, "I guess. But Gally really has seemed to take a liking to you or something. You've been the only one who can control his anger in a way." I gulped a small sip of the drink and replied with, "A women's touch." There was a moment of silence between us and I heard the groan of another loser from Gally's wrestling ring. I nodded after another gulp of the drink, "I'm gonna try that out." Minho stood in front of me, "Sienna! That's crazy! Nobody has beaten Gally. Ever." I shrugged, the same way that Minho had before, "Maybe I could." I slightly pushed through the crowd surrounding Gally and spoke, "Want to go again?" The entire crowd went silent as Gally pondered for a moment. Then, I heard one of the boys, who was the previous Greenie before me and whose name was Clint, start chanting my name, "Sienna! Sienna!" The boys next to him, Jeff and Ben, chime in and soon the rest of the Glade including Newt and Minho were cheering for me. I gestured to the ring and Gally nodded. I rolled my shoulder forward and readied myself. Gally pushed me down almost immediately but I went into a back hand spring which made myself back on my feet. Gally sneered with a slight motion and charged forwards. It was now that everything slowed down into slow motion. My eyes faded into a light purple instinctively and I leaped right over Gally with the ease of a cat. Gally turned quickly and threw me to the other side of the ring. I heard Minho's cry of protest but the blood ringing in my ears made it sound like a mere whisper. I brought myself up to my feet shakily and with all the force I could muster I pushed Gally backwards. It wasn't until I fainted and I heard the roars of applause from the other gladers that I realized he had gone a foot out of the ring.

I had won.
