It had been three months.
Three months.
Ninety days.
You took the shortcut to your newfound hideaway and ran into a field of purple flowers. Your favourite. His favourite.
You knelt down in the ticklish, long grass. You tripped and a tiny grass stain appeared on your school uniform.
You scraped your knee, but couldn't feel any pain. You were too excited. Three months since you had gone.
You took the small bunch of flowers and held them together gingerly, tying them with the ribbon you had pulled out of your hair.
"What a delightful gift," you said quietly to nobody in particular. "How beautiful."
You couldn't stop smiling as you came to the foreign place. You laid in your little spot, tears of happiness pooling in your eyes as you closed them, feeling the warmth of the sunlight shining on you.
You were awakened by your loving boyfriend of two years, Baekhyun, stroking your hair with his long fingers, the swift movements giving you peace. You looked up at his rectangular smile, the one that shined like the sun.
"Baekkie!" You exclaimed gently, hugging him. He was soft, like the grass, his kisses and hugs feeling like the wind around you.
"Miss me jagiya?"
"Everyday."
"Such beautiful flowers!" He exclaimed, his laugh filling your ears like the rustling of leaves.
"Not as beautiful as your laugh. I've missed it."
"Well I'm sorry, life has gotten so busy. I'm sorry that I'm always away. That we're always separated. We live in two different worlds, apart from each other."
You started to cry.
"It's okay, Baekhyun."
He cried, his tears like rain on your skin.
"Please, remember _____, I think about you, I want to be with you, I fall in love again with you everyday."
"Saranghae." You said, sobbing gently.
"Saranghae nado."
"I miss you."
Your eyes opened as you sat up, his presence gone once again. You turned to look at Baekhyun's gravestone, laying the purple flowers that you fell asleep holding to down on the soft grass.
The earth was filling you with him.
His smile, like sunshine.
His touch, like grass.
His laugh, like leaves.
His tears, like rain.It was all there.
But most importantly,
The way he hugged and kissed you, like the wind. The sunshine glimmered brighter.
The grass around you swayed.
The leaves rustled.
The misty rain beginning to fall.
The wind, enveloping you in a strange, unpredictable warmth."Miss me jagiya?" You heard him call out through the wind, the smile evident in his voice.
You smiled, tears pooling in your eyes.
"Everyday."
