Hey guys, here's Chapter 3! On ward!

Annabell's P.O.V.

****************

I said goodbye to Diana, and walked into my apartment, leaning on the door once it was closed. That had been the most trusting thing I had done since I was 9, and I didn't know how to feel.  Not feeling particularly tired, I walked into my living room looking for something to do and, upon seeing that only half of my boxes were unpacked, I decided that was a good place to start. I started with the last box of books that hadn't caught my eye last night.

Once I was done unpacking the rest of my boxes, which took most of the day, I decided to eat and then take a well deserved nap. I walked into the kitchen and looked through my fridge and cabinets to see what I had, and saw that I had a whole lot of nothing. I leaned on the counter and ran my fingers through my hair. While I was debating on what to do for food, there was a knock at my door. I grabbed a sweatshirt from a chair near the door and looked through the peep hole. Diana was standing there looking impatient, and all dolled up. I opened the door and Diana walked right in without invitation.

"Hey, you aren't ready for the party! Good thing I came over early. Nice place, by the way, " She stood in the middle of my living room and looked expectantly at me. "Well what are you doing just standing there? You should get ready!"

"Hello, Diana!" I looked at her trying to figure out what she had just said. I closed my front door and sat on the arm of my chair.

"Your apartment looks really good!" Diana stopped surveying her surroundings and looked back at me. "Are you going to get ready? We have a party to get to."

"Um, Diana? I told you I wasn't going. I mean thank you for the offer, but I don't really do parties. That and I'm exhausted." As I explained that I wasn't going, I got the feeling that I was going to go to this party whether or not I wanted to.

"I know you told me that you had stuff to unpack and that you were tired and that you can only trust strangers so much without exhausting yourself, but I was thinking about it and I am no longer a total stranger, per say, and I think that meeting new people is always a good way to get used to the place you're in. And it will be fun, I promise." I looked at Diana and I felt that she was a good person, and that if the rest of her family is like her brother, she comes from good people. I took off my glasses, set them on the counter, and rubbed my face in frustration.

"So you're making me go to this party?" I looked at her as I put my glasses back on.

"No I'm not making you go, just very strongly suggesting."

"Okay, then let me shower, and get ready. How long do I have till we have to leave to get there on time?" Diana quickly punched the air with excitement.

"YES!! We have about an hour before we have to leave." I rolled my eyes and headed towards my room to get clothes.

"I'll be ready. Before that, make yourself at home. I'm going to go take a shower." I walked quickly into my room, grabbed dark blue skinny jeans, a black camisole, a large gradient coffee colored sweater, and tan lacy wedges. Along with a sports bra, underwear, and contacts, I walked into my bathroom to take a quick shower.

After I washed my hair, shaved my legs and underarms, and moisturized my skin, I climbed out of the shower and got dressed. I put in my contacts, brushed my teeth, put on some light makeup, and quickly tried to blow dry my hair. After getting it mostly dry, I kept it down. I put on a very long necklace, and put my watch and a hair tie on my wrist. I deemed myself acceptable for a party and walked into my living room. Upon seeing me, Diana let out a low whistle.
