The Experiment

Chapter 14

There i was starring wide eyed at him with my taco in my lap. Yup this is how i wanted to say say yes i want to be your girlfriend to storm. Storm got up and started pacing around the grass.

"Damn it! I knew this would happen. I knew you wouldn't want to go further into our relationship. Roxi i am really so-"

"Would you shut the fuck up and kiss me already? I want to be your girlfriend." He turned around really fast and look at me for one second and within the blink of an eye he was right on my lips. The kiss wasn't like any before. This one was sweet and soft then he pulled away and smiled.  

"You're mine now. That is never going to change." I smiled and kissed him again.  "So shall we finish eating?"

"Yeah cause as much as i like kissing you, i really am hungry."  We both laughed and finished our dinner. 

After we finished our tacos we laid down on our blanket and looked up at the stars. 

We stayed quiet for a long time until he spoke. "You know Roxi, our stories are like the stars."

I lifted my head up and rested it on my hands. "How so?"

"Well every star is unique there are no 2 stars that are the same. It's like our stories, we both have different stories. No one has stories like us. You don't have a story like me and I don't have a story like you. Each and every one of us are unique."

"I guess that is one way to look at it. Every one has a story to tell." I laid back down with my head on his chest.

We laid there for 10 more minuets until we had to pack up and get our supplies.  I grabbed the blanket and folded it up while he put all the food away. We walked to the car hand in hand until i sensed someone was watching us.

Storm stop walking. There is some one over to our left watching us. 

How can you tell?

I feel them. Kinda like how i can feel where you are.

Freeze time.

And with that i stopped the world, well except for Thunder. We placed the things on the ground and walked to the spot where i felt someone watching us. We looked over the bushes and sure enough it was little miss bitch Andrea. 

"What the fuck is she doing here?" Bolt stole the Words right out of my mouth.

"Obviously spying on us. We should do something about it while i have time frozen."

"What do you suppose we do?" I gave Bolt a smirk and picked Andrea up.

"She has the power of fire right?" 

"Right..."  he gave me a funny look as to what i had in mind. I could feel him trying to get past my mind block but it was to strong.

"Good." and with that i  put her over the cliff and into the ice cold water. Of course she hasn't fallen yet since i froze time. 

"That should put her out once she falls." I brush off my hands as if i did something in the dirt.

"Roxi you are so smart." I smirked at him and took  a step back and we both watched as i unfroze time. 

A quick confused look crossed her face until it morphed into a scared one. We both barked out with laughter. She won't be using her powers any time soon thank goodness, even though they weren't that strong.

After we got done laughing we packed everything in the car and started on our way to the supply store. 

"So what do we have to get?" I shifted myself so that i was looking right at him.

"Well we definitely need more food, medical supplies, things to make our dummies for practice, and we need a birthday present for Lily since her birthday is in two days."

"How old is she going to be?"

"11 years old. I look at her like she is my own biological little sister. When i first came here she was only 7. Her and I are really close."

"That's cute. Does she have any nickname for you besides what we all call you?"

"Yeah...she use to call me flash since she saw little flashes in my eyes."

"Now that is even cuter."

"She use to get nightmares when she was smaller and she use to knock on my door to come in. She would always ask me if she could sleep in my room since it lights up when i want it to.  So of course i said yes and kept the room bright enough for her until she fell asleep."

"I guess helping kids is like your second nature."

"Yeah i guess so. She came to Breezy with a tragic story i just couldn't let her be scared of anything. I promised to forever protect her. When she was smaller like only 3 years old she lived with abusive parents. They use to slap her because she cried or did something that was wrong that a typical 3 year old would do. He aunt found her one day unconsciousness with her parents higher than the clouds. She then took care of Lily till she was 4 and that's when she showed signs of being different. Her aunt called everywhere for a place to help her. She didn't find any until Breezy went to her house and talked to her aunt about teaching how she can control the power she has. Surprisingly her Aunt didn't freak out when Lily started to grow flowers out of her hands our find random trees inside of her house."

Here i thought i had it rough when i was super little.

"I'm really glad Breezy got to her before the people who had me."

 "Me 2." With that we stayed silent for the rest of the ride to the store.
