MUCH NEEDED RECAP:

Cassidy Taylors is a daughter of a billionaire, and is on her way to a holiday in Paris when airport security finds a bomb that isn't hers, in her bag. She is ushered off to Juvie, and meets Nathan Black (cute guy 10/10 would recommend) and a few other interesting characters in there. Along the way, she finds out that Juvie isn't actually a juvenile detention, but J.U.V.I.E, a company that 'imprisons' children because their rich parents pay them to do so. Together with Nathan, fellow prisoner/hacker extraordinaire Hu Li and now Elliot, a besotted security guard who just found out about J.U.V.I.E's dark secrets, Cassidy is going to find her way out of her so-called prison.

And now, unto the chapter.

"Baby, if you tell me your name/ I can say a thing or two."

-Call My Name, Mosquito Coast

Hu Li smiled. Nathan and I exchanged matching grins.

The plan had worked. Elliot was now on our side, the good side. With him fighting for our cause, we would be able to get out of here even faster. It was always good to have an inside man, somebody playing for the other team but secretly supporting us. Useful, very useful indeed.

Well done, Clementine. I mean, Hu Li.

'How do you suggest that we get out?' Hu Li murmured, leaning even closer to Elliot.

Elliot (with a slight blush) whispered back. 'I'll see if I can come up with a plan for you guys.'

Hu Li's arm, which previously hung loose in Elliot's grip, slid her hand up to grip his.

'Thank you, Elliot.' She said sincerely. 'We really appreciate everything you're going to do for us.'

'Anytime, Clementine.'

I muffled a giggle as Elliot started to usher us back into our cells. I didn't know how long she was going to keep this up for, but it was good for a laugh. We needed some joy in this dreary, awful place. I was starting to notice myself smiling less and less. Not that I had really smiled that much before. I just wasn't the smiling type, and I liked to think that my face, without a toothy grin, looked like those faces on the covers of magazines, very poised and elegant and striking.

But I was smiling even less now. And it didn't get past me that Nathan's blank face had started to become slightly more permanent than I preferred it to be.

'So.' Elliot began softly when we were back into our cramped holes. 'Explain to me how you guys found out about J.U.V.I.E.'

So I told the story from the beginning. How I got arrested, how I found out everybody in this jail had been dragged in here for no reason, and how we all came from wealthy families.

'Except me.' Hu Li's velvet voice bounced against the walls. 'I deserved to be put in here.' She winked at Elliot, who stuttered as he tried to think of a reply.

'Don't even bother, man.' Nathan stopped the poor boy before he could make a fool out of himself. 'She's just messing with you. A lot.'

Elliot's shoulders relaxed.

'But seriously though, she got locked up because she hacked the whole system, so don't get too friendly, if you know what I'm saying.' I grinned at him and he instantly went paler again.

'Oh shut up, Cass.' Hu Li batted her hand at me playfully through the bars. 'I didn't hack the whole system.'

'It's Cassidy, and don't be modest, you know you're good.'

'But I didn't hack the whole system.'

'Oh yeah, you just hacked.......the whole system.' I rolled my eyes and laughed.

'Okay, so maybe I did hack the whole system, no need to tell the whole world.'

'So you're an actual criminal?' Elliot interrupted our banter.

'I wouldn't call myself a criminal, to be exact...' Hu Li's voice trailed off as she thought. 'Perhaps...a slightly lawless juvenile delinquent, hmm?'

'Don't worry, she doesn't bite.' I assured Elliot, who was now looking at his lady love with a mixture of fear, awe, admiration, and caution in his eyes.

'Unless you want me to.' Hu Li winked and clicked her teeth together in a chomping motion, except she made it look good. I would've looked like a dang alligator.

But it was funny anyways, and I couldn't help laughing when I saw the even more fearful, awe-struck look on Elliot's face.

We were going to get out of here.

Now, I was even more sure of it.

A/N

HEY GUYS LONG TIME NO SEE HOW'S IT GOING LADS

It's been agesssssss, and I'm so sorry I couldn't put a chapter up earlier, but I was swamped with work once I came back from my overseas trip (which was fun btw, saw hot boys and ate good food ;)). I should be sleeping because I have music practice early tomorrow morning but sleep is for the weak (or the sensible, clever people but I'm not one of those people unfortunately).

This was a bit of a filler chapter, but better stuff is coming up soon. Sorry it's a little short, but it'll be longer next time.

Thank you for all your thoughtful comments on my important note! It was so sweet and kind of all of you to wish me a good trip and say such nice things. To everybody who wished me well, I just want to say that you made me so happy and you are all so kind and I don't deserve you in the slightest, you lovely honey-bunnies.

Vote? Comment? Follow?

Until next time, my cinnamon rolls who are too precious, too good for this world xoxo
