Friendship And Confusion

"BANG!" I woke up with a start when i heard a loud sound resounding the room. I rubbed my eyes sleepily and blinked a couple of time to see who caused the commotion.

Sujeong and Youngji, my two best friends, was standing at the door and panting heavily. "Hey guys. What's up? "I asked curiously.

They just tackled me into a hug and Sujeong said, "Don't you dare "What's up" me. Do you know how worried we are?".

"I'm so... sorry", i choked out, tears stinging my eyes as i remembered (again) about what happened. Sujeong and Youngji was startled, "What happened Suyun ah?" and hugged me tighter.

I hugged them tightly and cried, telling them what had happened earlier in the day. They listened attentively and when i finished telling them, Sujeong was clenching her fist, her eyes narrowed.

"I'm so going to kill that bastard", she growled, making her way out of the door. Youngji immediately grabbed her wrist,"Where are you going?"

"To that bastard of course. I'm going to teach him a lesson for messing with my girl."

"Violence is not the solution, Sujeong ah."

"What are you talking about Youngji?" Sujeong raised her eyebrows. "He got to know that we girls are not someone to be messed with, especially after when he did to Suyun.'

"But..."

"No buts, Heo YoungJi. Do you see what that nicompoop did to our strong Suyun?"

"Lee Sujeong! Calm down. I'm not implying that we should just let him get away. But violence is not really that answer!"

"Can you stop it, please? You are giving me a headache", i sighed, rubbing my temples. Sujeong and Youngji immediately stopped their bickering and faced me. "I'm really thankful for your concern over me" I started, "But i don't want you guys to waste your energy on him. He is not worth it."

Sujeong looked at me hesitantly, "Are you sure?" I smiled and nodded slightly. Sujeong and Youngji looked at each other and broke into a smile, coming over and hugging me again.

"Aigoooo, our baby girl had finally grown up", Youngji cooed, patting my head. I pouted, "Who is a baby girl?" and they just laughed.

The door creaked open just then, and Chan's head popped in, "Are you sleeping..."He broke off when he saw me in a group hug with my friends. "Oops, i guess I will drop by later", Chan awkwardly scratched his neck and retreated back.

"Wait!" Sujeong stopped him. "Aren't you the famous Lee Chan? You know Suyun?" Chan slowly turn back and answered, "Yeah, I found Suyun in the school garden and carried her here.'

Sujeong raised her eyebrows at me and I just shrugged, not knowing what to say. Chan slowly walked towards me and placed his hand on my forehead, 'Are you feeling better?" I nodded silently, blushing at the sudden contact and the closeness of his face and mine when he asked the question.

"That's good then. "He smiled at me and ruffled my head. He then whispered into my ear, "See you tomorrow, Suyun ah". He then smiled at Sujeong and Youngji, bid them goodbye and walked out of the door.

Once he was out of the door, Youngji turned to me, her eyes wide. "What was that?" She then turned to Sujeong who was gawking at the door that Chan had closed and snapped her finger in front of Sujeong's face, "Earth to Sujeong!"

Sujeong snapped out of her daze and stared at me, "Honestly, what in the world happened? Lee Chan, one of the most popular guys in school, was flirting with you."

I stared at them blankly "I have no idea either. "I said finally, sighing to myself.
