I steered Charm towards the front of the arena, then halted her when we reached dad.
"Hey, daddy. What's up?"
He stopped leaning on the fence post and yawned.
"Not much, pumpkin." He wiped his brow. "Holy hell, is it hot out today. How can you even stand it?" He grinned.
Charm shifted her weight, huffing air out of her nostrils. "I dunno," I shrugged. "It doesn't really bother me much. Shows are pretty hot, so I've grown accustomed to the heat."
Dad snapped his fingers and transformed them into fingerguns. "Wait here. I have a surprise."
I smiled. "Okay. Let me finish cooling off Charm and I'll meet you by the water trough. 'Kay?"
He smiled at me. "'Kay. See you then." He said, turning around then jogging off to some unknown destination.
