Chapter 12 (Cousins cont.)

Nathanial noticed that they were trapped and wanted to communicate that to Annabelle but he didn't want her to know what was going on one-hundred percent. He thought about lying but he didn't want to do that to his little sister.

"So what are we going to do?" Annabelle asked.

"Well I think that there's a lot we could do" Nathanial said.

"How are we going to know where to go?" Annabelle wondered.

"We are going to get a well-drawn map so we know where we are going." Nathanial said.

"Where are we going to get something like that?" Annabelle asked her brother.

"I don't know but I am going to find it for us Annabelle." Nathanial reassured her.

Annabelle was towards a big billboard "Well does this constitute for a map?"

"I want something that we can get in our hands because that's on a billboard. We need to go and investigate like going to a town member and seeing if they have a map for us. That will be very useful." Nathanial replied.

"Ok. What about that house over there?" Annabelle wondered.

"Sure! Let me go knock if that's okay with you." Nathanial said.

"Yes I will be right behind you." Annabelle reminded him.

Nathanial then knocked on the door of the precious door and waited for a brief minute. He looked around wondering if the person that lived there was even home. They then heard a bunch of precarious footsteps.

"I'm coming." Somebody on the other side shouted.

A woman opened the door the figure appeared to be Ash's mom and she looked confused and not recognizing Nathanial and Annabelle at all.

"Hello, I am Nathanial and this is my sister Annabelle and we were wondering if you had a map handy?" Nathanial asked.

"Well today's your lucky day! My son went on an adventure a while back and I was wondering if somebody would hand this too him." Ash's mom said to Nathanial handing him the map.

"Thank you very much!" Nathanial said to Ash's mom.

"You welcome. Have Ash give me a call when you see him," Ashes mom said.

"I will probably see you in the next month." Annabelle said with a smile.

"Hope it doesn't take you that long to find my son." Ash's mom said.

Nathanial checked the map he looked at the names of the city as if he were memorizing them. "Pewter, Cerulean, Vermillion, Celadon, Fuchsia, Saffron, Cinnabar Island, and Viridian. Pewter, Cerulean, Vermillion, Celadon, Fuchsia, Saffron, Cinnabar island and viridian. Annabelle we have to head to pewter."

"What's the point? What are we going to do there?" Annabelle wondered.

"Get our first gym badge." Nathanial replied.

"Okay I think I'm ready. Will there be any cool Pokémon?" Anabelle asked.

"I hope." Nathanial said having a sense of hope.

They continued on going on with everything that was on the list of things to do. They began wondering to pewter city and they had become lost very quickly. They were constantly worried. They looked at the way to get home until they ran into an older man wanting to show Annabelle and Nathanial how to catch a Pokémon. Nathanial past knowing and wanting to figure out by himself. But Anabelle said yes.

"So you have to get a Pokémon to low health so you have a higher catch rate than if you don't. Depending on what ball you have will also determine what you need for that." He demonstrated. "Now you try."

Annabelle tried and she got it on the first time. She was excited.

"You got this!" The old man said.

They took a look around and they were ready for all of the things that they were ready to encounter.
