Chapter 14: How the mothers are affected.

All of the mothers we gathered around in John's house. It really wasn't a very long drive for half the people and to be honest most of them were friends. The thing that was the most worrisome was whether or not there were going to be more. John's mom asked where their sons or daughters may have went.

J's mom spoke up "These have definitely been more mythical thing happening than realistic things. For example, my son went through a seat in my car." J's mom then pointed to Patrick's mom. "Your son went through his bed. I could go on."

"There's no need." John's mother answered as there was a heavy bang on the door.

John's mom opened the door and noticed that it was her sister and law. "What happened to the kids?" John's mom asked.

"They disappeared I have no idea what happened to them." Annabelle and Nathanial's mom replied.

"I told you...magic." J's mom continued to rattle off about her conspiracy theory.

"I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for this." John's mom replied attempting to quiet the rambunctious crowd of mothers worried for their children.

"Let's turn on the news they might have a reasonable explanation for these catastrophic events." Kaitlyn and Tristan's mom said.

Eventually the mothers had come to an agreement that if anyone was on to this story it would be the Komo 4 or the Q13 Fox news team because King Five does the bigger and more developing stories. They had pip on which allowed them to see Komo 4 and Q13 at the same time. Then they saw it on Q13 the headline was titled "Portal?" The news team reported a strange reminisce of pitch black and how much more violent that things were happening when a child was taken from Rock Creek and then was gone out of nowhere.

"PRESTON!!!" Preston's mother yelled in worry.

"Hopefully more develops later." John's mom said comforting her friend that was obviously upset.

Immediately after that they saw that Komo 4 had something similar as a title "Portal: A Force to be Reckoned With."

"As all of you western Washingtonians may have figured out by now there's a large portal that is taking your children. Supposedly for a reason unexplained it is said it will take 18 different children and no one knows who or if the number is even true. But one thing that Steve our meteorologist had figured out is that with the more children the more weird and violent theses abductions have become. I'll turn it over to Steve right now and let him explain because this really isn't my forte." The head anchor announced.

"Well let me explain," Steve started. "What began as a portal somewhat saving a teenager's life has now turned into a child stealing menace. As John had been by this portal it has also terrorized others like it's 3rd victim, J was drug through a seat, and a kid under the name of Preston was eaten by a fake teacher. This logic is beginning to make sense as of now and where we are at it looks like we won't be seeing those missing children for up to 10 years. If you are a guardian of one of the missing children then call us immediately and we will schedule an interview." The segment ended

"What? Why? Where is this thing located? You're a meteorologist you should be able to find something that astronomical!" Kaitlyn and Tristin's mom said along with Nathanial and Annabelle's mom.

They continued trying to find something else but they were unable to. This is why the mothers making a fuss. They all stayed wondering about what they are going to do.

"Why is this happening... to us." Preston's mom said.

"We'll find out sooner or later." John's mom implied that something may happen and future events could be more catastrophic.

"They took our children and you just want us to wait and see what's happening!" J's mom yelled in anger.

"As parents, Mothers to be exact we have to stay as calm is we aren't calm than we will be unable to do some of the things we have to do to use this experience to give us the leg up." John's mom responded back.

"Fine...But if our kids are lost for eternity it's on you." J's mom rebutted.

John's mom was okay with this she was able to quiet the crowd and that's all she thought she needed to do because she was sort of in charge of keeping everyone with a level head even the people she didn't know. This also forced her to get to know what the other mother's too so she could find methods to go faster and not hinder the process of finding their sons.
