Emery VS. Orion -- Story Finale

Emery VS. Orion

                “TIME TO FINISH WHAT I STARTED!” Emery exclaimed.

                Orion looked at Emery who was standing up. Persephone was on her rear as she was thrown off.

                “Courage Intensify!” Orion shouted.

                “Remember our agreement," Orion said.

                Emery said nothing and stood still. Orion charged toward Emery in a flash. Orion punched Emery in the cheek, kicked him in the crotch, and then punched Emery in his chest right over his heart, then also punched Emery in the temple.

                “I threw in a kick but hey, we don’t follow rules here," Orion said smugly.

                Emery fell to his knees and forward onto his face.

                “It’s over, your hero is dead," Orion said smugly to Emery’s friends.

                A blast of wind enveloped Emery and he began to get up.

                “I don’t like rules either," Emery said confidently.

                “What?” Orion asked.

                “I’ve been primed up the whole time," Emery said.

                Annie and Kamie walked into the clearing and saw what was happening.

                “He’s finally fighting him," Kamie said.

                “YOU BETTER BEAT HIM SO YOU CAN APOLOGIZE TO GARY!” Annie shouted.

                Orion and Emery ran toward each other.

                I still don’t feel right asking Malice to be my source of power, Emery thought.

                Orion closed the distance and punched Emery in the cheek and Emery was thrown to the ground instantly. Orion then grabbed Emery by his collar and punched him three more times, faster than could be seen by anyone in the clearing. He then let go of Emery who stumbled backward.

                “That’s your payback for the punches you gave me at the beginning of today. But you’ve yet to feel my wrath!” Orion shouted.

                Orion ran toward Emery and grabbed his collar again; he then started to punch Emery wildly.

                Draw more power from hatred, Emery thought uncontrollably.

                “I don’t know if I can," Emery mumbled as he was being punched.

                You have no hope then, Emery's mind responded.

                I hate this guy for messing with my mind and for making me put my friend’s lives on the line, Emery thought.

                With that thought, Emery’s red aura grew stronger. Emery then grabbed Orion’s wrist in mid-punch and squeezed it. Orion let go of Emery’s collar and threw him to the ground in one motion. Emery got back up and punched Orion in the chest. Orion flew backwards at the force but then grounded his feet firmly into the ground and charged forward. Orion punched Emery and Emery returned the punch, and their next punches landed simultaneously. Emery threw another punch which Orion blocked with his palm. They then exchanged evenly matched punches and blocks.
