CHAPTER 5
"One Direction! One Direction! One Direction! One Direction!!" We chanted along with the crowd of girls as we waited in line to get into the concert. The cheering and yelling died down a bit as everyone began their own conversations.
"Soo...how are you and Mikey doing?" Jo asked.
"Ugh. Don't even start. He's a moody little beast lately, and I don't know why. I can't do anything right anymore!" I grumbled.
"Aw, I'm sorry babe." Mara said sympathetically.
"Seriously?? You still don't know?" Jo scoffed with a laugh.
Mara elbowed her in the ribs with a glare, but it only made Jo laugh even harder. I looked at them confused.
"Wait, what?"
"Don't worry about it babe. It's nothi..." Mara started.
"Nothing!? Yeah right. Ri, how haven't you figured it out yet?? Michael lik--" Jo was suddenly cut off by Amara shoving the rest of the churro she was holding into Jo's open mouth.
Yeah, cause that didn't add even more to my confusion. Mara loved her churros...she wouldn't just get rid of it like that.
"Tell me what's going on! Mara, stop distracting her! I just want to know what's up with Micha--"
I didn't get to finish my little rant, because the thousands of girls surrounding us began to scream. I couldn't hear myself think anymore, let alone make myself heard.
The doors had just opened, and everyone was "filing" inside. It was more like a mad rush, but whatever.
We eventually found our way inside, and the concert was to begin soon after. We still had about 30 minutes to wait, because people were still coming in. Close by us was a small group of people. There were two girls and one boy. We began talking to them and learned that the two girls, Natasha and Jessi, had been best friends since they were kids. They were both blonde haired and blue eyed. We learned that they were both 16 years old. The boy, Evan, was Jessi's brother. He was 18 which made him the same age as I was since Mara and Jo were still 17. He had dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. He had agreed to take his sister and her friend to the concert as long as they found a good deal on tickets.
"I'm not ashamed to go to a One Direction concert." He said in his soft voice.
When we had first began talking his quiet voice had led me to believe that he was quite shy and mellow unlike his sister, but he was the opposite. He was extremely crazy, and had a hilarious sense of humor. His laugh was contagious, and he had us close to tears from laughing after the first ten minutes of talking to him.
"That's good. It's sexy for a guy to embrace their feminine side a little, right RiRi?" Jo said with a wink.
"Oh em gee...thanks girlzz..." He said said with his hand on his hip. We all burst out laughing once again.
"Oh of course, but maybe we shouldn't embrace it that much." I said while I tried to quit laughing.
By this time, he was laughing just as hard as the rest of us. His smile was nearly perfect.
"So...Ri...Mara and Jo both said that they have boyfriends. What about you?" He asked casually.
"She's a single Pringle!" Jo shouted out.
"Oh yes, very much so single." Amara joined in.
"That's always nice to hear." He said smiling.
I knew I was blushing furiously by then, but luckily I was saved from answering as the lights suddenly dimmed.
"Here they are ladies...Oneee Diiiiirectionnnnn!!!!!"
