*Ali's pov*
Things were great we just celebrated Kellan's 3rd birthday and Roman was now back at work which we were all happy about...my adoption of Kellan was official he was now my son...today Kellan was with me at the store and Liam was with Stephanie....as I stood folding shirts I looked back at Kellan who was coloring at the desk...I heard the bell ding "Welcome to Haze...I'll be with you in just a second..."
"I'm looking for Alison Helmsley...Reigns."
I looked up "I'm her...and you are?"
She looked at me "I'm Tara Brooks....Kellan's mom."
I stopped "Get out.."
Tara smiled "What I want to meet the woman who has taken my son.."
I looked back at Jada who took Kellan to the back...I turned facing Tara "Your son where the hell have you been since he was 2 months old....a mother doesn't abandon her child..."
She rolled her eyes "You don't understand how it was.."
I gave her a look "I don't understand....I've been with Roman nearly 2 years we have a 6 month old baby...I would never abandon my baby..."
Tara looked at me "It's not easy dealing with that family.."
I shook my head "I haven't had a problem in fact we get along pretty well..in fact I had their full support to adopt Kellan."
She narrowed her eyes "I am his mother."
I shook my head "You may have given birth to him but you are not his mother....a mother doesn't abandon her child with signed papers...you lost all right to call yourself anything when it concerns him."
Tara stepped to me "You'll never be what I am to him...it's my blood running through him not yours...that paper means nothing."
I had to smile "Maybe not but I'm the one he calls mommy...I'm the one he comes to when he's scared...I'm the one tucking him in at night....I'm the one he tells I love you to.....not you."
She slapped me "Bitch.."
I touched my cheek "I may be a bitch but I'm the bitch who picked up the pieces you shattered.."
Tara reared back to slap me again..
Roman appeared out of nowhere and grabbed her wrist "Don't touch her again."
She dropped her hand to her side "Roman.."
He pushes pass her and checked my cheek "You okay?"
I nodded "Yeah I'm good...Kellan is in the back with Jada."
Roman nodded then looked back at Tara "What part of stay away from my family don't you understand...I told you to stay away."
Tara looked down "I had to see him.."
He growled "You left him..you filed and signed over your rights...all behind my back...you don't have any rights to see him in any way shape or form...Ali is his mother in every way that matters..."
She nodded "I understand.."
Roman scowled "Leave..."
Tara nodded and left..
I gave Roman a look "You knew she was here...you talked to her but didn't think I needed to know.."
He looked at me "I didn't think she would show up.."
I shook my head "I'm your wife...Kellan is my son too I had every right to know she was sniffing around him.."
Roman raised an eyebrow "Are you seriously mad at me right now?"
I nodded "Mad doesn't even cover it Roman...you kept this from me...roles reversed I would of told you.."
He nodded "I'm sorry babe.."
I shook my head "Just leave please."
Roman kissed my cheek then walked off
I shook my head and went back to work
Jada sighed as she watch Kellan coloring "You okay?"
I sighed "He didn't tell me she was calling about Kellan...I don't know what I'm angrier about him not telling me or her showing up here...I don't even care that she slapped me.."
She nodded "I understand I'd be just as angry if Randy kept something like that.."
I looked over at Kellan "I know before long he will have questions abo it her but..."
Jada nodded "You're his mom in every way that matters...he calls you mommy....his whole face lights up when you pick him up from daycare...no matter what dna says you are his mom."
I sighed "You think I'm being unreasonable with Roman on this whole Tara thing?"
She shook her head "Not at all Roman should of told you....how about this tonight me and Randy will keep Kellan I'm sure your dad will love to keep Liam....hash this out...don't let this whatever come between you two..."
I nodded "Thanks Jada...I'd lose my mind without you.."
Jada smiled softly "Don't worry about it...does he have a spare outfit in his bag....him and Tyler are the same size so I got pjs covered."
I nodded...once the day was done I headed home Stephanie was thrilled to keep Liam...I got home and took a shower...I sat in the kitchen sipping tea when Roman walked in "We need to talk."
Roman sighed "Are you going to yell at me again..because trust me babe I heard enough of it today from Dean, Randy, and Jey..."
I shook my head "No.."
He nodded "Where are the boys?"
I sighed "Kellan is spending the night with Tyler and my parents have Liam."
Roman sighed "I fucked up Ali I know that...I should of told you when she got in contact with me...I thought she would actually listen to me for once and stay away...I admit my fault in this baby.."
I looked at him meeting his dark eyes "You can't hide things like this from me...we don't know what Tara can or will do...."
He nodded "I know and I'm sorry. "
I set my cup down "I love Kellan with all my heart just as much as I do Liam you know that..I would do anything for him...that's why I pushed the adoption because I want him to have all this...you and me...I didn't do it just to do it...I love that little boy."
Roman nodded "I know....I didn't think about it I didn't want you worry more than you already did...in these nearly two years together you've cared more for him than anyone else has...since day one you made him a priority...you put his safety before your own."
I looked down at my hands "I may not be the reason he's on this earth but he's mine."
He cupped my chin making me look at him "He's ours baby you're his mom...nothing changes that not even dna if I could change that I would...you are the mother of my sons.."
I smiled faintly "I love you."
Roman gave me a small smile "I love you too.."
I closed the space between us and pressed my lips to his "I'm sorry."
He nodded "Me too.."
I stood up taking his hand and we went upstairs taking full advantage of our kidless night
