~Chapter 5~
You’re not to blame, don’t be ashamed, you've done nothing wrong, stop singing that sad song and be strong, just breath and you'll find that key to unlock my heart, even in the night there's the moon for light. So don't give up the fight and become something your proud to see.
Paige's P.O.V.
I fell asleep after awhile. It felt like hours since I've departed the concious world. Alec's arms were just so warm I couldn't help drifting off into sleep. I felt him move away. I don't want him to leave. I want to wake up but I feel like I'm falling into a dream. I can't wake up. Maybe I'll just stay here a little bit longer.
I felt the nature around me. Flowers every where in the tall grass making everything pop with color. Green willow trees surround me with their hanging limbs dancing in the wind, warm and soft wind. My attention finally drawn to the setting sun. I let the lasting sun light soak to my skin. My whole body warmed.
Wait whole body?
I looke down, my eyes went wide, to find my naked body. I clung to the ground with the sudden over exposure the grass covering my body. "I hate naked dreams they're so odd and embarrissing" was the thought passing through my mind.
Then suddenly the warm air turned cool and relaxing. Everything turned to night. Fullmoon high in the sky. In the corner of my eye I saw a flutter of light and turned to look. A little lightning bug and another. They continued to magically appear around me. Soon enough, they surrounded me. I went to move, to stand up, to look at them when I remembered I was still nude. But, then I noticed something else. I was no longer in the nude. I felt fabric wrapped around my body. I looked down and was met with a beautiful black laced dress. It came to just above my knees. The lace wasn't rough, the straps were thin, and it hugged under my breast and flowed out. It was amazing. I felt another light that wasn't coming from the lightning bugs.
I turned around to see little candles lit every where. I looked around and spotted a black haired and deep brown eyed Alec staring back at me about 5 feet away from me. My breath caught in my throat looking at him. He was truely handsome. Especially in his black slacks, and black dress shirt, a black vest over that and a white tie. The willow trees that once were silent now were filled with the songs of cicadas, He closed the space between us and kissed my forehead. Then down my face to my neck. Which sent chills down my back. I felt the smile on his lips on my neck. It may have been a smirk.
The dream felt so real. The wind. The candle light, His kisses, His breath on my neck. His arms around me. Everything.
"I’m sorry Paige" I heard him whisper. The smirkish smile had left him.
"For what?" I whispered back.
"For not being there to protect you."
"When?"
"When you were attacked"
"You can't blame yourself for that"
"But I'm ashamed as the man that loves you. I should have been there. I should have found you. It’s my wrong I didn't."
"Alec you couldn't find me because it was fate that you didn't. Now just breath and calm down. Your strong Alec and you tried your best. Something I know in my gut is saying you'll always own my love. Always have the keys to my heart. What's going on why are you saying all this any way?" I tried to pull back and look at him but he wouldn't let me.
"You’re not to blame, don’t be ashamed, you've done nothing wrong, stop singing that sad song and be strong, just breath and you'll find that key to unlock my heart, even in the night there's the moon for light. So don't give up the fight and become something your proud to see." He said randomly.
