~Chapter 10~
Candy's P.O.V.
"Hello?"
"Hi, I'm Ms.Nora Shelk's nurses aid. I'm calling a Ms.Elizabeth's."
"This is her. Is my mother okay?" Panic slicked her voice making me smile.
"Yes and no. She's been having pain for the past few days. We ran some tests and we think it may be her kidneys failing."
"Oh my God! We'll be there as fast as we can! Thank you!" The line went dead. Well that's gets her off my back for about 7 hours. Flying down three states to find out your mother's fine sounds like a bitch. Alright let's get to the house.
Calling pretending to be Paige's grandmother's nurses aid was perfect! I can't believe her mother believed me. What a trusting woman. Just like Paige, but that's what made it so easy to get her the first time. I laughed to myself as I drove, well speeding to her house. I had to get there before they did, which left me a serious problem. They had to have started there before I did because the car wasn't on the road any more. Damn!
Pulling up to the house, lights are on. Well fail number one. I parked down the road a bit so it was hidden by the neighbors bushes and their tree in the front yard.
Okay new plan! I opened my door got out and made sure not to slam my door. Went to the back grabbed the bat I put in there for earlier which was another fail but plan b works too.
- Okay get Alec when he's away from Paige.
- Some how knock him out so he doesn't thinks it's my fault and someone else did it.
- Get rid of Paige.
Okay sounds like a good plan. For the most part.
If I can't get him away from her then I'm screwed.
Well all or nothing.
I ran up to the house looked in the window to see them. Deeply, passionately, kissing. My mouth dropped and anger rose in my system. Pure evil came through me.
I opened the front door, saw them pause, and ran to the darkened wall opposite of the door. I could no longer see them because of the wall between the hallway and living room. The only thing, other then darkness, hiding me from the light.
"I think my moms home." She sounded funny as she talked. Muffled almost.
"We should go check then shouldn't we?"
I heard moving then footsteps. "Hello? Mom? You home?" Paige walked into the hall way first, confusion writen on her face. "Mom?"
"I'm possitive I heard the door open." He walked behind her. Both of their backs towards me.
"Me too." I saw her stare at the door as if staring it down would make it show why it made the noise open. I slowly made my way over behind Alec. The sweet Alec that would be mine soon and all mine. No Paige to take him away from me. No one's, but mine.
"Well I guess we've both los-" I put my fingers on both sides of his neck where the pulse is. He stopped talking abrutly. I made sure it wouldn't hurt him. I couldn't have that could I?
"What?" She said.
"I- I-" He began to lean forward.
"Alec ar-" Paige made a noise as he fell forward, knocking her down with him.
THUMP
"Ow, God. Alec?......Alec?" I watched as she tried to move him off of her. She stared at him wide eyed. "Alec?!" Her fingers went to his neck. Guessing she was looking for a pulse that was still there. She let out a breath looking up and finally noticing she wasn't alone. Once again her eyes going wide. A smirk crossed my face as I stared at her.
