Ch.6

Graduation is in two days. If you asked me, I would think that my life was all together. I finally have a partner, and I'm about to graduate. I also have been finding apartments near our college. "Oh mija, I'm gonna miss you." My mom wrapped me into a tight hug. "Me too." I nuzzled into her shoulder. I held back tears.

Lauren and I were going across the country. "Make sure to visit, okay?" My mother said. I giggled, and rolled my eyes playfully. "I'm going in like 2 months. But of course I'm going to visit." She laughed.

Out of nowhere, the door bell rang. "I'll get it." I said, running to the door. "Ness! Less!" I exclaimed. I wrapped my cousins in a huge hug. "Oh my god! Why are you guys here?!" They laughed at how surprised I was,"We're here for your graduation!"

"¡Oh Dios mío! Hola , ¿cómo estás , Mila ! te ves mucho mayor desde la última vez que te vi!" My auntie came barging in. I laughed. "Estoy bien, estoy tan feliz de que ustedes están aquí!"

Soon, my whole family gathered into the house. I went up to my room with my cousins, Alessia and Vanessa. "Lauren!" I exclaimed. "I'm over here, Camz!" Alessia raised her eyebrow,"Camz?" I shrugged.

"She calls me Camz."

"This is Alessia and Vanessa. My cousins." I smiled. Lauren nodded. "Hello, I'm Lauren. But you can call me Laur." I instantly remembered that I had more family to meet. So I left the 3 girls alone while I slipped downstairs.

Lauren's POV:
"So, are you her friend?" Alessia asked me. I shrugged. "More." I said. Vanessa sprung from her seat on the bed. "I KNEW IT!" She exclaimed. I laughed. "What do you mean?" We all erupted in laughter. "I always knew little Mila will get a boyfriend at some point in time. But I didn't know she was gay!" Vanessa giggled. Alessia playfully smacked the girl's wrist. She mouthed a "sorry" to me. I nodded, giggling.

"How long have you guys been dating? Why hasn't Mila told me yet? WHEN DID SHE GET A GIRLFRIEND?!" Vanessa bombarded me with a multitude of questions. "We've been dating for literally half a day, chill." I rolled my eyes, playfully.

"What are you guys giggling about?" Camila said, slipping into the room. "Noth-"
"I'm so happy for you!" Vanessa wrapped the small confused girl in a hug. I mouthed "they know" to Camila. She nodded softly. Camila finally broke away from the tight hug. "You guys are the first people to know about this, other than us, obviously!" Camila laughed.

Camila's POV:
"Mila!" My mom motioned me. I jogged to the center of the room. I unleashed my spanish skills to my family.

"Mila, go get your cousins. And Lauren? We are gonna have a huge barbeque outside." My mom said. I nodded.

Jogging up the stairs, I heard laughter. The ends of my lips curved into a smile. They knew.
