i visited our place today. i was walking towards the tree we always sat under when i saw a young couple there. my heart stopped, i smiled sincerely. i haven't done that in a while. i hope they stay in love like we were supposed to. i over heard them discussing our initials that we carved into the trunk of the tree.
i so desperately wanted to tell them we were the one who carved it. that we pronounced our love on that tree. it's leaves are turing orange and blood red again. you loved when it did that. your ocean blue eyes would light up like a christmas tree. i always admired that.
remember when i said life was easy? i lied, life was easy when you were here, and since you left life became so hard.
