A/N: Hey! Look at me updating and shit! So responsible. Anyways, I know when #Mace is getting back together, but if I made it happen immediately then you guys would be happy, but feeling like there should've been more. SO DEAL WITH THE WAITING. I read all the comments you peeps leave, they're hilarious. Enjoy.

I wake up in a white room. I automatically realize that I'm in the hospital. I glance around, and when I sit up, my head pounds. I groan and fall back into the bed. I spot the nurse button and push it. They probably have something to give me before I leave.

A few seconds later, a cute nurse with red hair comes into my room. She smiles when she sees me, and I try to smile back, but it probably looks more like a grimace. "How're you feeling, honey?" She asks me. I push one of the buttons to make my bed sit up and manage a groan. She presses a few buttons and looks at the many monitors, before deciding that I'm fine.

"You don't have a concussion, you'll just have some pain and a nasty bruise. The only thing I am worried about is the fainting. What happened? Can you describe what was going on before you fell?" I point to the hallway, where Asher is talking to another nurse. "Him. Old friend. Memories." My nurse smiles and unplugs me from the machines. "If we're being completely honest here, I wouldn't blame you. That's one handsome guy." I groan again, but not because of the pain. Because she's right.

Asher drives me back to the school so we can get my car. The entire ride there, I'm silent. The car is almost exactly the same, even the backseat where I had my first kiss seems to be intact. He realizes that he caused this, this disaster. He tried apologizing to me at the hospital, then the waiting room, and the elevator. I brushed him off every time, either complaining about my head or giving him a world-famous Grace Glare.

As soon as he stops, I'm out of the car. I walk to mine, put in the key, and drive away. There's no way I'm giving him any more of my time. I see my backpack still on the floor from where I threw it, and the paper bag sticking out. I sigh, and pull to a stop in my driveway.

What could be so important that he needed to leave it anywhere but my locker? I rip the bag open, and a piece of paper and something in a box falls out. I open the box, there sits a single rose, trimmed so there's almost no stem. The note reads:

"Why hello there old friend. I knew you'd somehow find a way to catch my messenger. No, I am not your precious Asher. He is merely a puppet. I had him pretend to be me, and in exchange, a chance to meet you again. He does indeed live here now, but only came this summer. It was me who put up those Homecoming posters. But with it coming again, I think I'll do something even more fun. Time will tell. Until your next clue. Nobody."

My hand shakes, and before I can think, I'm dialing him. Not Asher, he can kiss my ass. I'm calling someone who actually cares about me. The phone goes to voicemail immediately and I sigh.

*BEEP* "Hey this is Mikey, sorry I couldn't make it to the phone. Leave me a message and I'll get back to you ASAP." *BEEP*

"Mikey, it's Grace. I know we're sort of fighting right now, but I really need you right now. Something's happened, something I can deal with alone. And Mikey?" I pause for a second. "I want to get back together too."

~Mikey~

I miss her call, and only see it 4 hours later after I get back from the beach. Luke decided it would be a good idea to keep our spirits up, and like the idiot I am, I left the house with 17% battery. Wait, she left a voicemail? She never does that. I put my ear to the phone and press play. My eyes widen at the last bit, and I start to freak out.

"LUKE LUKE LUKE LUKE LUK-" I burst into his room where he, as usual, is sitting on his laptop. "What?" I start to jump up and down, and he looks alarmed. "Michael, use your words. Please, you're freakin me out." I jump on his bed and scream, "GRACE WANTS TO GET BACK TOGETHER!!!" He jumps up and start to dance with me. "That's what I'm talking about! I told you that you two are meant to be together!!" We dance and jump on his bed for a good few minutes, and collapse in a heap. We're both breathing heavy, but laughing.

"I should call her back, she said something was up..." Just as I raise my phone to my ear, a call pops up, but it's from my manager. I have to take this, I think to myself. He might have some new opportunities lined up. I press accept, "Hey, what's up?" Luke takes this moment to screech in my ear like a velociraptor.

I shoot him the, 'DUDE are you serious?!' face and show him who I'm talking to. He giggles and runs downstairs, obviously afraid I'm going to throw something at him. Which at this point in time, I'm seriously considering it.

I lose track of time, and as soon as I hang up, Luke drags me out of the house to go get food. He's starving, and I don't want to remember the last time I got in between him and some pizza. I shudder just thinking about it.

We get home late, and all I can think about is sleeping. I want to stay up and call her, but I'm so- I yawn, and can't even finish my thought. My bed looks so comfy right now. I'll just call her in the morning, she'll understand. She's strong.

~Grace~

I don't understand. I can't be strong much longer.
