Chapter 36

Melanie's POV

I woke up with a splitting headache and and a dog liking my face, I open my eyes and saw Jasey smiling while jumping around, I turned over and saw Calum passed out, I decided it was too early to wake him up so i just got up and went to the lounge room i saw everyone passed out on the floor all tangled up, except Luke, i couldnt find him so i decided to go look, he wasnt in the house but when i looked outside he was sitting on one of the chairs so i joined him

"Hey" I smiled when i sat down

"Oh, hey" He smiled back and took a sip of his coffee

"When did you wake up?" I asked

"Only a few minutes ago" he replied

"So, how are you? i mean we dont talk much anymore" i chuckled

"Yeah, i know" he nervously laughed "Ive, um ive been good yeah, i mean i could be better but my life is alright i guess" He smiled "How about yours?" he asked

"Its been great, thanks for asking" I smiled back

We sat there for a bit, just in silence

"We need to hang out more" I stated "We used to be so close"

"Yeah, we do and yeah we did"

"What happened?" i asked, he just looked at me and didnt reply "Well, lets hang out today" i smiled as i got up

"Where?" he chuckled

"I dont know. How about the carnival?" I asked as i held my hands out gesturing for him to grab them so i could help him up

"Sounds great, should we tell them?" He asked

"Ill just leave them a note" I smiled

After i got dressed we drove to Lukes house so he could get changed, this house hasnt changed a bit, i thought and smiled to myself

"What are you smiling at huh?" Luke joked

"Oh, nothing just thinking of how much this house hasnt changed" I chuckled as we got in the car

"Yeah, no one is ever home to change it" he mumbled

We just kept quiet till we got to the Carnival

"I havent been to a carnival in ages" I squealed and Luke laughed at my childishness

"Really? well i mean there hasnt been one in a while"

"Exactly, and plus they didnt have much in Brisbane" i chuckled

"Really? but isnt Brisbane like Brisvegas" He laughed

"Maybe for parties but this is a carnival" I chuckled

"Man, i gotta go up to Brisbane and see whats good up there" He chuckled

"Pfft, not much" i murmured

"What?" he asked as he couldnt hear me

"Oh nothing" i smiled

"Where first?" he asked as he held his arm out

"Well, why not that roller coaster?" I pointed as i wrapped my arm around his

"Great choice ma'am" he chuckled and we skipped over to the ride

Once Luke brought the tickets we waited in line for it to finish and so we could go in

"You scared?" I asked Luke

"Nope" he smiled as we walked to our seats "Are you?" he raised an eyebrow

"Not one bit" i cockily smirked
