Chapter 37

Calum's POV

"Guys, we should probably get the girls" Michael chuckled

"Yeah we should, they probably have brought the whole store by now" Ashton chuckled

"Okay, I'll text Bi" Michael said as he grabbed out his phone and started texting "She said meet them at the food court" Michael informed us

We started walking over to the food court and i got a text from Mel

From Mel: Hey Babe, just got home. Where are you?

To Mel: Hey Babe, Me Mikey and Ash decided to go out to lunch with the girls but now they off shopping and we are going to find them, you can come if you want?

From Mel: Nah its okay, im tired so im probably just going to go to sleep

I was just about to text back when i ran into somebody

"Watch out Calum" Tayler laughed

"Oh shit, i didnt even realise" i laughed back

"So what are we gonna do?" Ashton questioned

"Well, im gonna go home if thats okay with you guys?" I questioned

"yeah i think we should all go home, im tired" Bianca yawned

We all go in the car and drove off, they dropped me off first. I opened the door and it was quiet, when i looked around i saw Mel sprawled out across the bed, i decided not to awake her so i just sat on the couch and watched movies

It was now 9 pm and Mel still hadn't woken up, i made myself a sandwich for dinner cause i was too lazy to make myself a whole plateful. I grabbed my sweats and started getting dressed in them, it didnt occur to me that Mel was in the room

"Nice ass" she giggled

"thanks" I turned around after i pulled my sweats up "Glad to see your awake"

"Yeah, im going back to bed, just something told me i should wake up right then, luckily i did" She smirked

"Well, im just about to go to sleep, want me to get you anything before i go to bed?" I asked

"No thanks" she smiled

i turned the light off and jumped into bed with her

"Gosh ive missed your cuddles" she smiled

"Its been a few hours Mel, really?" i chuckled as i wrapped my arm around her waist

"Shut up, i dont like sleeping alone" she complained

"Babe, that was a nap" i chuckled

"didnt feel like one, it must of been a long nap" she giggled

"Well if you fell asleep when you said you would that would be 4 hours, im surprised at how tired you are" i chuckled as i pulled her body closer into mine and she turned around

"I am so not excited for school" she pouted

"Argh why did you remind me?" I complain and she giggled

"Well its like in 2 days"  she rolled her eyes

"Yeah i know, we only have a term. im dropping out anyways" i informed her

"I will to, we should travel the world one day" she smiled

"We should" i smiled as i kissed her forehead "Now go to sleep" i smiled

"Goodnight babe" she smiled

"Goodnight" i smiled back and shut my eyes, soon everything went black and i was asleep

I woke up and noticed Mel wasnt there, i rolled around a bit till i knew i couldnt fall back asleep, when i got up i could hear people chattering

"Morning babe" I yawned as i stretched my arms

"Um Calum" Mel mumbled

When i opened my eyes i could see a middle aged woman sitting on the couch

"Oh um hi" i chuckled

"Calum, why dont you put a shirt on and come back out" Mel smiled

I nodded and walked back into the room, after i found a shirt i walked back out. I walked over to the couch that Mel was on and sat beside her

"Calum this is my mum, Mum this is Calum, My boyfriend" She smiled and as soon as she said 'Boyfriend' her mums eyes widened

"hello" i smiled and shook her hand

"Hi, um Melanie i didnt realise you had a boyfriend" her mum smiled

"thats because you have been gone for practically 6 months" she smiled back at her mum

"Look Melanie ive been needing to tell you something" her mum smiled

"What is it?" Mel asked

"Well, ive met someone and im engaged" She smiled and Mels smiled dropped

"What?" she questioned

"Yes, um he is moving to Australia soon" she chuckled

"Mum, your telling me that 6month trip was so you could go meet this guy?" she questioned again, this time sounding angrier

"Well, Darling, I've been talking to him for a while. He flew to Australia a few months ago so we could talk. I really thought you would be happier" She smiled

"Dad died just over a year ago and your getting married" she scoffed

"yes but he makes me happy" she smiled

"yeah as long as your happy" Mel rolled her eyes

"Melanie, this is my life not yours" Her mum stated

"great, i think its time you leave" Mel requested as she walked over to the door and opened it

"Melanie, you cant kick me out" her mother scoffed

"Well i just did" she chuckled

"message me when you are ready to act like a grown up, because I would like to have a proper conversation" her mother scoffed and walked off

"that was eventful" i whispered

"HOW?" Mel practically yelled as she slammed the door and fell to her knees

"Mel are you okay?" I ask as i rush over and cuddle her

"How? its been over a year and she is over dad and with some asshole from america or europe" she cried into my shoulder

"shh Mel its okay, its your Mums decision. Honestly i would be upset and angry aswell but the best thing to do is just go with it" i whispered to her

"I guess your right" she sniffled

I stood up and held my hands out gesturing for her to grab them, when she did I flung her up and gave her a hug

"I love you Mel" I smiled

"I love you too" she said back

We decided to watch movies for the rest of the day, I made popcorn and we just relaxed until we were tired enough to go to sleep

"Night Mel" I smiled

"Night Cal" she yawned
