"Take me home."
"No."
"Take. Me. Home."
"Say please." He smirked.
"Hunter please take me home." I gave the best puppy dog eyes I could manage but I'm pretty sure I just looked like a homeless person.
"Since you said please...no." he chuckled.
We were currently standing opposite each other in his room with his back to the door while I continued to pester him to let me out and take me home. I had woken up with the mother of all headaches and tried to run out when this idiot darted in front of me, locking the damn door. I seriously wanted to punch his face, even after considering how attractive he was.
I was horrified to find him next to me when I had woken up and I almost jumped out of my skin with fright. My embarrassed face didn't go unnoticed by Hunter.
I had to admit that even though I was acting strange around Hunter I was really enjoying his company, it made me feel...comforted and wanted. Not to mention I had had the best sleep in a long time with him by my side.
"Hunter." My voice whined and he flinched.
"How bout we eat some breakfast first?" He proposed.
I wanted to say no, but my stomach growled and I felt my cheeks go red. Plus I didn't have much at home to eat besides some stale bread considering my mother almost never goes shopping anymore. The prospect of eating a hot and tasty meal was all but making my mouth water.
"What did you have in mind?" I squinted my eyes to see his face in the morning light. His features were no less amazing than yesterday if better. I could eat him for breakfast, my mind suddenly went back to yesterdays events and definitely trying to actually eat him back at the infirmary. Dear mother Theresa. His voice brought me back to the present.
"Some bacon and eggs, or maybe pancakes?" He scratched the back of his head as if unsure I would prefer those two meals. Only I wanted them more then he would ever know. But the idea of staying here in this unknown home with this unknown man scared me enough to loose my apatite.
Hunter looked like he could easily wrestle a bear, but he didn't look like he would kill me or cause me any harm. But could I trust my instincts? I was good at reading people, but could I put my life on the line? I had this constant urge to reach out and touch him, to run my hand down his biceps to the feint tattoos I saw peeking through his shirt. I stared at his bulging muscles and his broad shoulders. I made my decision.
"Hunter please, just take me home." My voice sounded defeated and his features echoed the same emotion. My heart ached the minute his expression didn't display happiness. I had an alien desire to make him happy, to make him smile and to be the reason behind it.
He sighed unlocking and moved from the doorway. I looked at him and then back to the door, I hesitated for only a second before reaching out and opening it. I walked out and waited for him to guide me out the house.
Once outside, I was awed again by the large stretch of garden with beautiful trees. I looked to the left to see the small infirmary we were in last night. Walking down the large steps I finally reached the stone gravel and looked for a car, only to find several dozens, all shiny and all much bigger and fancier than mine.
"Are all these yours?" My eyes were still wide with shock.
"No, my friends stay here too remember? So these are theirs. Here's mine." He lead me to a black hummer that was at least two times the size if an average one. I nodded my head, remembering him saying something about some friends and him living together. I wanted to ask why all his friends stayed with him in this massive house but I didn't want to pry. Especially considering be could be an axe murderer and I didn't want to give him any leverage to keeping me hostage.
Opening the passenger door for me he sighed as I struggled to hop in, eventually being able to close the door and effortlessly climb in on his side. I immediately felt a pang of jealousy at his grace.
"Princess, this is where you tell me your address so we don't sit in an unmoving car." His term of endearment gave me warm swells of twists in my stomach and made my heart accelerate. Hazel eyes met mine and he smirked as if hearing my traitorous drum roll from my chest. I sighed dramatically.
"Riverside Square." I felt chuffed that I had to have given him my address.
He took note of my words and roared the powerful car, in turn making my butt vibrate.
"Are you the party type?" He questioned while looking between me and the road, as if afraid I would dissappear.
"Not even close." I wanted to laugh at his statement but I didn't want to look crazy. I was in that club, but that didn't mean I'd enjoyed myself.
"So what were you doing at Toronto Club last night? Its a pretty roudy crowd once riled up, especially for someone who isn't the party type." So that's what the clubs name was, Toronto, something julia forgot to mention. For some odd reason his words didn't settle well with my empty stomach and I felt like there was a double meaning to his statement "roudy crowd": wasn't every club roudy?
"Are telling or accusing me of lying?" I said not bothering to hide the irritation in my voice.
"Down girl, didn't mean it like that. I'm just saying you should be careful especially in a place like Toronto." His infamous smirk made its way back to his face, and while it agitated me, I was glad he wasn't acting cold towards me anymore.
"I don't make a habit out of it, it was more or less a small celebration for my birthday." I looked out the window at the spring trees, admiring the beautiful colours they were able to conjure.
"Here we are." Hunter stoped the car and came around to open my door. I seriously was more than capable and proved it so when I swung the door open myself, hoping out as he rounded the hood. If my displeasure to his chivalry meant anything he didn't say it, simply leaning on the open car door as he watched me idle there next to his hummer.
"Thank you, for the lift I mean." Not the kidnapping and being held hostage part.
"My pleasure Atty." My name slipped out so angelic like even for him. It gave me shivers.
"I look forward to seeing you again.""You won't be." I said.
"Princess, I now know where you live. This-" he gestured to himself. "-is a face your going to be seeing more often than you think." With that he gave me a soucy wink, making me almost pee myself and shut my door.
Once in the car himself he reved up the engine, probably just at my expense, before driving off."Not if I can help it." I was pretty good at being invisible and if thats what I had to be to escape that beautiful Greek gods' presence, thats excactly what I would do.
Wow! I love Hunter abd his personality so nuch, I just feel like he's my spirit animal!
Anyway....
