(A/N This chapter might contain triggering stuff, I don't know specifically what counts as triggering. Just being safe here. So, if you're easily triggered, please don't read. Love you all!)

Naturally, I took the rash and stupid as fuck approach.

I ran towards the cars, shooting them up, killing about 15.

"Shooter from behind!" A man yelled, and they all whirled around, giving my friends time to get away, grabbing weapons randomly.

Crouching behind a car, I listened as the bullets hit the side of the car.

Over time, the sound lessened.

"You dolt, you're wasting ammunition!" A man shouted, and a grumble came from the other side of the car. Cursing myself silently, I rolled under the car quickly as he walked around the other side - standing right where I was. As soon as he walked away, I rolled out from under the car and shot him in the back.

Luckily for me, at this moment, the house exploded (not literally) with gunfire. My friends began shooting up the yard, killing every Supreme in sight. Standing up, I also shot at the men in the yard, and within a few seconds, the yard was littered with dead bodies.

"Hello." I said to them, and they sighed with relief.

"So, you got our note." Liam said happily, and I saw a few of them glare at Arron "Dickhead Arron said that we couldn't stay back." He muttered under his breath, and I nodded, remembering the note.

"So, why here?" I asked, and it was Arron who spoke up.

"It was a former CIA safehouse in case of a disaster. The Supreme's executed everyone inside." He said through clenched teeth, and I felt a pang of sorrow for him. It quickly dissipated at the reminder that he had abandoned me.

"Let's go raid another outpost." He said, bored.

"No. My allies are coming." He pointed down the streets, where a few cars were driving quickly towards us.

Me and my friends immediately dived behind cover and aimed out weapons at the cars. Arron just stood in the middle of the road.

He waved to the man in the car.

What?

Then he got shot in the chest 10 times.

Sure they were allies.

I could hear the startled gasps of my friends as Arron slumped back onto the pavement, staring straight up. His chest had a gaping hole in the middle.

Just as suddenly, the turret at the top swerved towards us, and I hit the deck as the sound of loud gunshots rang through the night.

"Liam, they know where we are!" I whispered urgently, and he nodded, army crawling away from the cover, and into the woods nearby slowly.

Motioning for others to do the same, I pulled the pin on a grenade, and threw it over my cover. Then, I followed suit.

A loud explosion rocked the ground, and everybody stood up and took off in a sprint into the woods. Thankfully, all the men in the cars were focused on the explosion, and either couldn't see us disappear into the woods or were too distracted.

Leaping over logs and running in between trees, me and my group ran, and ran, and ran, and ran, until we couldn't run.

Collapsing on the forest floor, I savored the cool night air before I closed my eyes, falling into a blissful sleep.

(Possibly triggering stuff below so yeahhhhh)

As I opened my eyes slowly, I looked around and nearly laughed at our absolutely wonderful predicament.

Sometimes I wonder if it's even worth it to stay here.

The world has gone to shit, and we are on the run constantly. Two of my friends have died in the past few days, the Supremes want to kill us, and the corrupt CIA also wants to kill us. Oh lord. This is why we'll never have a permanent settlement.

We have too many enemies.

All of the sudden, a loud siren noise comes from the city, and everybody jolts up, staring over the cliff at the city.

VROOOOOM!

then

BOOM!

Within seconds, D.C is obliterated.

Gasping for air, I stood back up, the shockwave finally stopping. As I looked down upon the city, there was nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

"Guys, we need to get to New York." I said shakily, and they all looked at me doubtfully.

So, a little history.

When I say that America got leveled, I wasn't lying. They spared a few big cities - New York, LA, and Miami. They are still running as normal as possible - but the Supremes have heavy influence.

"We have too." I said firmly.

Sighing, my friends nodded.

"Let's get a car."
