"Do you think he'll get up?"

"I dunno... we're barely keeping him alive right now. Oxygen tanks, the works. He'll need a new prosthetic leg. Third degree burns on his back, that shit doesn't feel good."

I opened my eyes slowly, grumbling a bit.

"He's up! Bring in his visitors now."

"No. We can't. Only Richard. Remember?"

"Oh yeah." He grumbles, walking out. Richard comes in.

"Hey." He says, grinning. He doesn't look like he just kinda fell out of plane.

"Uh, how long have I been out?" I asked.

"A few days." He says. "Okay, I have some news. We're going to try and overthrow Boreas in... two weeks. You, Kay, Abby, Liam, Dylan, Jayden, Collin, and I will each be leading an... 'elite' team of 10 people, including your second in command. That's all for now. Just get some rest, and... yeah." He shrugs, getting up "See ya." He says, walking out.

Another attack. Great.

A few days later, I was introduced to my team.

A guy slightly younger than me - Arron - was my second in command. He was very good with weapons (as was everyone).

"Okay guys, today's training exercise is pretty basic. Just run 5 laps around the building, then get your sorry arse's back in here." I said to my team. "Yes, that includes you, Arron." I said, rolling my eyes as he groaned and ran after the group.

"We might actually succeed this time, huh? We got 20,000, that should be enough to take them by surprise." I said to Kay, and she nodded.

"Better than last time, at least." She muttered.

"Guys, half an hour to take off." I heard over my radio, and I nodded.

"Special Ops 5, get ready for the big jump." I said to my team, who were all lounging around.

I sat down, cleaning my weapon.

20 minutes later, another announcement.

"Get loaded, people. Wish y'all the best of luck."

"Come on! That's the signal!" I barked into my own radio, standing up and clamping my chin strap on my helmet.

"Our mission, if you don't remember, is to capture or kill Boreas. He is wanted dead or alive. We prefer him alive. Do you understand?" I said quietly.

"Remember, we prefer to go mostly undetected. Only kill if necessary. Do you understand?" I said sternly, and they all nodded.

"Move into formation, let's get going." I said, and they quickly formed a single column.

"Move out!" I said, and I began walking to the small airfield.

"Special Ops 5, here you are." Richard said. "Best of luck." I nodded respectfully, boarding the rather large helicopter.

"Special Ops 1-8, taking off!" Richard said as we took off, and I looked out the window, sighing.

"Going for the Prudential Center." Richard said through the radio.

"Got it." I replied.

"Spec Ops 1, 2, 6 and 7, you guys are going in at ground level. 3, 4, and 8, you guys are going in top. 5, you are hitting middle." Richard said, as we closed in on Boston. "Rest of the army is coming in 10 minutes. Begin separation."
