Chapter 3

Me and Harry are In the mall now. Wow I'm hungry.

"Hey harry? Can we go to the food court? I'm hungry,"

He smiled and kissed me on the cheek. We started walking toward the food court were my mind wandered off again. I wonder if Harry will ever propose when we get older? I mean he probably will if we're still dating. I mean like its been like 10 months now. Whatever I'm still a senior. But I do hope we will be together forever. Wow I'm sounding to start like one of those chicks in 80s movies. Whatever. When we gt to the food court we ordered from McDonald's and sat down. Harry started a whole conversation.

" so how's yours powers?"

"Really is this the thing to talk about in public?"

"Well yes, do you have complete control over them yet?"

"No, not exactly my normal abilities yes but really anything else no. And the worse part is my dad is really worried about me not being able to use my powers, he said if I can't control them by the end of senior year, I'm gonna have to move to a place were my powers won't harm any"

" your dad makes the worst rules"

"Well, you know he is the protective guy in the family."

"Does Alexa know?"

"No"

Silence. I haven't told her yet because I know there is such little chance I will stay. And she will know that once I tell her that too, so I don't want her to worry. After the long silence we through our trash away and headed down to best buy. I needed new headphones. Anyway we bought those and we headed out to the parking lot. No one was there anymore. The guys and Alexa were in the limo waiting for us though.

'Hey alexa! I got my new headphones!"

"cool, what took you so long? Are we gonna go shopping now?"

then Niall spoke up

"well actually, I was hoping we could just go home. I'm feeling a little sick."

Me and Alexa had the same idea. We didn' want to go home, we planned a whole day of shopping, and we just got here. We looked at each other and nodded.

"fine"

We both said in perfect harmony. great, now what was I going to do for the rest of the day? Maybe me and Alexa can go for a run in the woods. Sounds fun enough. By, the look on Alexa's face I could tell she was thinking about what we could do together for the rest of the day. I love how we can read each others faces. I guess being best friends for 13 years really pays off. But, you know, since one of my powers is mind reading It makes it a little bit easier to read her face expression. Oh! thats a good idea. I looked into her thoughts, wow there is so many up there. OMG! she is thinking about a guy!!!! Could he be her mate!! Come on, think about that guy more, so I can see what his name is. But, just before I could find out she changed her thoughts to, meghan, get out of my mind! She could tell I was mind reading again, like I have done multiple times before. On the bright side, I am starting to get better control of my mind reading power. Ok, maybe I can sneak reading Alexa's mind. I have done that before. It's hard though. OK, she is thinking about her hair. What the heck? Who thinks about their hair? well she does have long hair. Oh wait now she is thinking about the forest near where she lives. She loves that place more than anything. Oh wait... Wait... She is thinking about a boy who she found in the woods, could that be her mate? Ok, now I'm excited. Oh, he is tall, dark haired, green eyes, tan skin, muscular, and just how Alexa likes them. Wow Alexa is a lucky girl, he is perfect for her. OMG he has a six pack! Ok, maybe I can get her to admit she has a mate out loud. I spoke up.

"So Alexa, where have you been lately, I didn't see you at all yesterday."

"I was in the woods. And helping out my pack with some stuff."

"What did you do in the woods?"

"Alot of stuff"

Ok, I have an advantage. Alexa NEVER lies so she can't lie about this, ill just ask her if she has a mate. Then she could answer that in a yes or no. But that would be pushing it. Alright lets ask her something more specific.

"What kind of things did you do in the wood?"

"Like running, hanging out with friends, swimming, you know the usual."

"Who were you hanging out with?"

"You're trying to get something out of me aren't you?"

"Ya, you know me so well."

"Actually, I bet just about any one could have figured that out."

"Ya probably"

We sat in silence for the rest of the ride. It was really boring.
