Chapter 19

The first step I took on the Cruise ship, I could tell that it was gonna be amazing.

"Harry?"

"Yes?"

"This is going to be the best 4 days of my life."

He laughed

"I can't wait."

I couldn't believe it. How is this possible. No It can't be. Maybe if I close my eyes and count to 3 I will wake up. 1...2...3. Nope didn't work.

We were lead to our cabin and it was the most luxurious thing I have ever seen. The room was about a 20 by 20 room. It had a crystal chandelier and was painted sky blue. It had a white couch/bed in the back left corner corner with a flat screen tv across from it. There was another queen size bed behind it and the whole rest of the room was kitchen and dining area. ((Sorry if its a bad desciption, I have never been on a cruise so I have no idea. Also I kind of had it pictured in my head all weird and when I put it out in words it sounded horrible, so picture it how ever you want.))

"Dad? How much did you pay for this."

"I'll let you guys in for a secret. Your mom was given a free cruise cause in one of the scenes of her new movie, she films on this particular cruise ship. And she gave the cruise to us."

"Oh."

I was sort of surprised but not really. Anyway I plopped my bag down on the queen size bed.

"Okay me and Harry can sleep here and Alexa and hunter can sleep on the couch bed thingy."

My dad asked

"But what about me?"

"You can sleep on the ground"

"I feel so loved"

I rolled my eyes and sat down on the couch. It didn't only look as white as a cloud but felt like I was sitting on a cloud. But not just on the couch, my life too. My mate is Harry, Alexa's my best friend, I'm rich, a vampire, and I have a great family. But not just by blood but by friends. I hope we will never get separated. Me and Harry definitely are gonna stay together. Me and Alexa though? What if her and her pack end up leaving and traveling the country. I think I'm gonna cry.

"Alexa?"

"Yep?"

" I need to talk to you alone"

We stepped out in the hallway, and I took a deep breath.

" will you every leave? Like with your pack to somewhere else? Like Vermont."

" Meaghan, where is this coming from?"

"I don't know, I was just thinking. What if we leave high school and you go off to some woodsy state and I go to collage and we forget about each other. I'm just worried. I don't want change."

" Well , Meaghan, what I have learned is the present is a gift. You need to enjoy it while it last. You can't spend your whole time dreading the future. If you do that then you won't have any happy memories."

" but you will move eventually so what's the point?"

" yes, I might move. But if I don't have the present memories I won't have anything to look back on to make me happy when I'm older. Where is this coming from?"

" I don't know. It kind of just came to me."

"So are you feeling better now?"

" I guess"

She smiled at me and we walked inside the cabin. I still wasn't sure about what she said though. The present is a gift? Seriously word play? At a time like this? Wow Alexa. Wow.
