Soon enough, Ratanic was back.
Her chest was bandaged up, and she usually laid under the pile of rocks all day, either sleeping or laying there. The keeper had removed the bandage from my face, and they would individually give Ratanic food, since she couldn't get up.
I kept to myself, not wanting to speak or interact with Ochaila, or Ratanic. Ochaila would stay with Ratanic, not focused on me.
Finally, a time for escape.
I started to think about my plan for escape, examining all the exits and places I could possibly get out. I would think about it a lot, as I ate, when I washed, when I laid in the sun. I had finally came up with an escape method after a few sun rises.
I'll pretend to be sick. The keepers will take me away, and I will be able to get out from there. Brilliant!I opened my eyes as the sun arose from our jungle trees, stretching my hind up, curling my tail. I yawned, shutting my eyes tightly as my muscles strained. I stood to my paws, and looked around. Ratanic was sleeping on her side in the rock cave, Ochaila next to her. I continued to look around, making sure there weren't any keepers or chatterboxes.
Perfect.
(SORRY FOR THE SHORT CHAPTERS, THEY WILL GET MORE LENGTHY AS THE STORY PROGRESSES.)
