I stared up at the gate for what seemed like eternity.
The brick walls seem...better to climb.
The walls beside the gate were made from brick. I approached the wall and felt it. It was cold and had a hard and scratchy texture, maybe able to scrape my pads and paws.
I started to jump up onto the wall, grabbing onto some of the loose pieces of brick. I secured my left side of paws on the metal, slippery bars, trying my best not to fall. I lifted my other paws higher and higher on the wall. I whimpered in pain, my pads stinging and scaring up. I finally managed to get to the top, panting and sitting down, resting my sore paws. "Ouch.."
I desperately licked and massaged my bleeding and cut pads, trembling in fear and in the cold breeze.
This will be harder than I thought.
After sitting there for a few minutes, I managed to get my paws on the brick and peek over the edge. My pads stung in pain. The wall was pretty high up. I got a bit dizzy and stumbled around, catching myself before I slipped off the edge. I sighed, thinking for a minute.
I can slide down the gate!
I looked over, the gate shining in the moonlight. I approached it, crouching down to jump and latch onto them.
I finally jumped and got on, almost falling.
It all happened so fast. As the cold breeze quickly brushed against my fur and pain shot through my pads, I shut my eyes tightly, terrified.
I finally stopped. I slowly opened my eyes, sweating.
I'm on the ground!
Outside the gate!
