A/N: If you've been around for awhile, you may remember my old ass story about this bad ass chick named Oasis Jones. If not, don't feel bad, it was way back in the day. Anyways, this is just a little blurb I wrote for english so ig here
Everyone who knew her name knew that she was the lapdog of the New Regime. Not one soldier, sent to terrorize the citizens, didn't bear the seal that she had designed. The nation feared her, more even than they did Toby, their true leader. Never did they anticipate that she would be the one to free them from their shackles. Nobody had, not even she.
Oasis was born into power, her father the originator of her position. She had graduated highschool at age sixteen, but had never went to college. Instead, she shadowed her father, learning how to run the army of the New Regime. When she was eighteen, she entered military training. Six years later she graduated and served as the Sergeant Major of the Army. She traveled amongst the nations armies, overseeing the training of the troops. As time passed, her brother and she began to incorporate themselves into the government, slowly gaining respect and experience. When Toby, her brother, hit his mid-thirties, he had been appointed as the nation's leader, much to his shock. Oasis remained under him, though she too held a great deal of power and influence. Years passed and underneath Toby's command, the nation thrived. At least, that's' what it seemed like at a birds eye view. However, on closer inspection, one could really see the evil that had begun to brew through the nation.

"I don't understand why you're going. Can't you just send someone to go for you?" Toby whined, a childlike sound escaping his lips. If he had been talking to anyone other than his sister, he'd be scorned for the rest of his life.
"Nobody else knows the area as well as I do, and would you really want to send the troops on a suicide mission. We already look stupid, I'd rather not look careless on top of that."
Toby nodded, unable to argue her. He loved his sister, but the nation came first.
"What will you need? Should you take someone with you-"
"I already took care of it. I'm leaving tonight and I'll reach the city by morning. Don't worry so much, I'll be fine. It's nothing I can't handle." Oasis smiled at Toby, attempting to reiterate her point with the simple expression. In return, he scowled, not at all convinced. However, he could do nothing to stop her, so all he could do was bite his tongue.
"Stay safe." He said finally after a short pause. All he got in response was a curt nod and a whispered "Goodbye" before she turned to leave, not bothering to close his door. He had already begun to regret letting her go, the gut wrenching feeling of worry nearly weighing him down, although it wasn't just his concern for her well-being. It was something else that had him in such a state, something that could almost be described as guilt.

Oasis tapped her foot impatiently as she waited for her tank to fill with gasoline. It was around three am, and still had a ways to go before she reached the city. The next leg of her drive was roughly three hours, four if luck chose not to be on her side.
She caught a glimpse of herself in the driver's-side mirror, the bags under her eyes a dark bruise color and her cheeks hollow. It had been days since she last had a full night of sleep, and even longer since she'd had a proper meal. It was difficult for her to take the time and care for herself when she had a country that came before her needs. The people were more important, her nap could wait. At least that's what Toby had always told her. She set her jaw and turned her attention to the pump, the tank finally filled to its capacity. Quickly, she detached the nozzle from the tank. In her hurry to get on the road, she nearly forgot to screw the gas cap back on, luckily glimpsing the open tank out of the corner of her eye. Once behind the wheel, she started the car and pulled swiftly out of the gas station, beginning the next half of her journey.
