Chapter 3

Sophie's POV

After sitting down on Calum's bed for what felt like forever he finally turned his music down and started a conversation. I don't know why but I never liked starting conversations so this made me feel a lot calmer. First of all we started talking about usually stuff like how was school and how's the family but I couldn't concentrate on the conversation, Calum's eyes were so mesmerising. I also kept noticing posters on the wall of bands that I never thought calum would have liked. That's not meant in a mean way but I just thought he'd be more of a nirvana fan not the beetles.

He must have realised I was staring because after a little while He looked at me smirked and said

"I love it when you day dream soph" calum immediate went red after saying it

In that moment my heart rate increased by double! 1. He said he loved something about me and 2. He called me soph he never calls me soph. I still wasn't sure if he liked me but sure enough I knew I liked him.
For a while he kept talking about FIFA or something like that saying how he'd beat ash just before I got here but honestly I wasn't really listening I was too busy looking round his room.
His room was quite overwhelming with so many posters and although his room was quite big the posters filling the walls made is seem smaller.
I suppose from what I'd seen so far you could say he had a big house well it was bigger than mine anyway.

After a while Calum's mum called us for dinner. Even though Id never been to Calum's house I had met his parents out and about places. We walked down stairs side by side in silence. Neither one of us said anything on the way down. We got to the kitchen when Calum's mum asked how I was, i never knew how to answer questions like that. I wasn't good but I wasn't bad it's almost like a question that didn't have an answer.

I took a seat at the table next to calum his sister opposite me. Nobody spoke until we had finished eating and even then I didn't really have to say much. The whole way through dinner I kept catching calum staring at me but everytime I turned to look at him he turned away.

Calum's sister was the only one I really spoke to while we ate dinner other than calum obviously.

"So you and calum are JUST friends?" She asked as if she knew something more

"Yeh! But he's my best friend" I replied feeling a bit intimidated

She didn't actually reply to that she just gave me a look as if I was missing some inside joke or private information. Before turning to Calum and giving him a sarcastic smirk.

Once We finished dinner I offered to help wash up but Calum's mum said it was okay she would do it. So went back to Calum's room.
We played video games with ash and luke for a bit obviously I beat them! Michael was out with his family for dinner so he wasn't on Xbox.
Before I knew it was 8pm.

"It's getting late calum I should go home" I said genuinely upset that I had to leave

"Why don't u stay? Im sure my mum won't mind!" He was almost pleading me to stay. His eyes like a lost puppy.

Turns out his mum agreed and after some persuasion my mum agreed to. I guess it felt a bit weird to stay at Calum's but it was a nice weird and I was looking forward to it.

I didn't really know what to expect as It was my first time at Calum's and I was already sleeping over. I guess I was about to find out.

Oh it was my birthday last week too! And I saw my babies October 10th
