Chapter 5

Calum's POV

"So she'd slept at mine. What's wrong with a girl sleeping at her best friends?"
I said to Ashton on the phone the morning after she'd stayed.

"Best friends Calum I think there's more than just a friendship between you two" was his reply he sounded quite certain on this as if he knew something I didn't.

"Well we are meeting you today so let's talk then yeh u can tell me all about you and Hollie I want details" I said before we said goodbye and hung up.

Sophie was still asleep at this point. She was always one to sleep in. I knew this from when I text her in the morning and she doesn't reply or how she's always not ready for school in the mornings. It was the little things that I noticed about her.

I put my phone back on charge and climbed into bed. I laid there amazed at how gorgeous she was. Her hair still looked as perfect as when she went to sleep But so did she.

It was already 9:30 so I decided I wake her up I just didn't quite know how to. I lay there for a few more minutes staring at her perfection. Then I plucked up the courage to give her a little nudge. She didn't wake and I didn't want to be rude and shove her. How was I gonna wake her? Maybe if I got my mum to cook some breakfast she'd smell it and it'd wake her up! Come on its my best shot other than throwing a pillow at her.

I reach for my phone and text my mum telling her to put some bacon on. Of course you knew it was gonna work cause food wakes everyone up but I think the doorbell had taken a part in her waking up too.

We lay there for a while me just waiting for her to fully wake up. I rolled over to face her and we both just smiled.

"Good morning miss Sophie" I said immediately regretting it wondering if it sounded cheesy.

"Good morning Calum!" She said in a cheerful voice "I smell food"
Her voice was soft and very gentle she sounded like an angel.

We had told ash and Hollie we'd meet them at 12:30 but it was already 10:30 and I knew she'd want to go back to hers to get ready so I messaged Ashton letting him know we'd meet him at 1.

We ate our bacon sandwiches while I flicked through the tv programmes to find that all they showed on tv on a Saturday morning was chat shows or Jeremy Kyle by the time id found a channel we'd finished eating! I took out our plates leaving soph to talk to my sister! I could hear them talking but couldn't make out what they were saying. I returned to the living room and we sat and watched to for a bit until I decided I'd better go get changed.

While I brushed my teeth and did my hair she went and got changed back into yesterday's clothes just to go home in as it was all she had. She took her hair out and threw it back up into a pony tail.

She sat on my bed scrolling through her phone while I quickly picked out some black jeans with a plain white t-shirt and threw them on. I assumed she was texting Hollie cause I could see her typing away.

Before I knew it, it was 11:45 and we were walking to hers. It's pretty safe to say I was nervous. I don't even know why! It was kinda like the meet the parents for the first time but we weren't actually going out. Still I'd never met her parents and I was a little wary as to what they'd think of me. She kept assuring me that it'd be fine but the knot in my stomach was tightening with each step.

We reached her house at about 12 that gave us an hour! I didn't know how long it was going to take for her to get ready so I prepared myself!

I sat on her chair in her room just watching her in amazement! First she went a got changed, she put on her black jeans with her favourite black belly top and a throw over blanket thingy I don't know what you call them! She then did her make up! I tried to keep up with what order she did her make up in but I got to foundation and I gave up! As cheesy as this sounds she looks beautiful with and without make up! She then did her hair! She put it into 2 long French plaits! After she'd used nearly a whole can of hair spray on her hair and face she finally applied some reddy purplish lipstick, MAC I think, then turned to me and told me she was ready!

It was now 10 to 1 but it was okay because we didn't live far from town! She grabbed her bag threw some bits into it including her hair brush, a make up bag, some mints, her purse and some other stuff and I grabbed my coat, we walked out the door. We decided to take the bus into town as neither of us could drive yet!

I could tell she was thinking about something or something was troubling her while we were on the bus cause she just sat staring out the window! To be quite honest I wasn't sure what to do! I wasn't good at starting conversations and I'd be lying if i said I wasn't nervous about today.

We got to the bus station in town at about 10 to 1. That gave us 10 minutes to walk and meet Hollie and Ashton.
She'd perked up a bit now and she'd spoke just before we got to the bus stop but I was sure something wasn't right. Maybe it was just my nerves! Maybe nothing was wrong I was just paranoid and nervous.

I can't believe it's December this week! I have officially started Christmas! Done some Christmas shopping today and wrote my cards!
