I woke up to a silent house which was not normal because I am normally jumped on by my five year old sister, begging me to wake up and make her breakfast, I reached over to my bedside table to grab my phone.It was only 6:37, there was no point in me going back to sleep again because I would have to wake up in 20 minutes and if I fell asleep I would end up over sleeping and being late. The last thing I want today is a detention when I could be leaving out the doors at exactly 15:20 for the last time in my whole life. I tried to persuade myself to get up and out of bed but it didn't work, so I laid there scrolling through my notifications and text messages when I found a text from Sophie slip to the top of my conversations. Sophie has been there for as long as I can possibly remember, she is my best friend and always will be, she is basically my sister.

We go back a long time, we met on my first birthday because our mum's are best friends and have been since high school so really our friendship was kind of arranged. We went to the same Nursery and the same school and we went to the same six form but after today I wont being seeing my best friend as much as we used to because we are going our separate ways, not as in forever but Sophie has been offered a modelling job in Australia. It is a 2 year course and she will not be able to have anytime off to come and visit home. I am so happy for her because this is what she has wanted to do since she was about 7 'strutting her stuff' down the imaginary catwalk in my room but I am used to seeing her every single day, so it's going to be really hard when she leaves at the end of the summer. Although we will stay in contact it just won't be the same, I am also scared that after the 2 years she won't want to come home. I have never been to Australia but everyone who I know that has been does not want to come home!

Sophie: I will be round in about an hour with a special surprise for you as a goodbye present Xx 💗🌟

I replied quite quickly, she was the best friend anybody could have , I love her so much and the more I think about it the more I know I am going to miss her and that's why I have to make this summer the best summer ever !!

Me: Okay will get out of bed then 😴 So excited can't wait to see you and get the summer started !! Whoop Whoop !! Xx ❤️

Before jumping out of bed I checked my subscription box and watched Joe's recent video that he had uploaded last night, Sophie introduced me to 'The YouTube Gang' about a year ago and they are honestly the best and funniest people you will ever meet and although they have over at least 3 million subscribers each, they are still normal people getting on with their lives but sharing bits online. They are so successful, Alfie,Zoe,Joe, Louise and Marcus have all brought about a book each (Zoe has even wrote a sequel) , Troye has just finished his new EP (which I know all the lyrics to off by heart) Tanya and Zoe have just brought out a beauty range and Caspar and Joe are bringing out a movie together!!

The video finished, I walked down the corridor and entered the bathroom, I jumped in the shower singing along to my music, I do all my thinking in the shower and today I obviously had a lot to think about because I was in there for a good 45 minutes. I put a quick side plait in my hair, put my clothes on that I had put out the night before and ate a quick granola bar before I heard the knock on my door. I put a bit of concealer on to hid my tiredness and my spots before me and Sophie jumped into my car. It was silent the whole car journey to school, but it wasn't awkward it was just because we were both had no energy to talk. When we arrived at school, the bell rang and we sprinted to Geometry, it was the same old small room , with Mr Hughes talking about utter crap for an hour and a half. This was definitely one of the things I was not going to miss about this school.

After nearly falling asleep and getting shouted out by Mrs Strand, we only had 3 lessons left and me and Sophie met up in the hall to grab some lunch. The food court was packed and we ended queuing up for about 25 minutes and only managed to get a panini. We walked over to the lockers to grab our stuff we needed for last lesson. " So what is my big surprise then ?" I asked so suddenly that it made Sophie jump and slam her locker shut (by accident) all eyes were suddenly planted on her as her cheeks began to turn bright red, as everyone turned away she hit me on my upper arm "OW!!! WHAT WAS THAT FOR!" I shouted gaining everyone's attention again. This time it was my turn to turn bright red. "That is what you get for embarrassing me you imbecile!" We both began to laugh until it wasn't funny anymore "Okay,but seriously what is my present?" I said shutting my locker after grabbing my Business Studies book and my water bottle. "Nope, I am making you wait even longer now because you embarrassed me like that!" She sharply turned on her heel flicked her hair in my face as she started to walk off to her Photography lesson, I sighed before walking off in the direction of my next lesson! "LOVE YOU BYE!" she shouted before she turned round the corner. "hate you too" I mumbled before heading to Mr Burch's class, last lesson then I am free I thought to myself.

I head off to Business Studies with Mr Burch, it was the worst lesson of the week, not necessarily because the lesson is boring but it's because I am surrounded by annoying,stupid young boys that think it is funny to be cocky. I honestly doze off a lot during his lessons. Mr Burch is a very grumpy old man, not even joking he looks older then my great-granddad who is 98. He believes everything should be in silence and if you dare to speak you would be kicked out, straight away. This was the last time I would sit in this seat, the last time I would ever have to hear about Sir's time in the army and the last time I EVER have to smell his bad B.O (he stunk more then the skanky boys P.E kit at the end of school, you know exactly what I mean).

I was sitting there once again daydreaming, about what you may ask, I have no clue either I just end up staring up at the ceiling not listening at all just blocking out all sounds and it was finally peaceful until... "JESS!" I suddenly was brought back to reality and realized everyone was staring at me "Um....." I honestly had no clue what I had done, was meant to answer or what I was even meant to do. "Exactly! You should be paying attention in my LESSONS!" I jumped at the sudden tone in his voice, I glanced up at the clock and began to relax "To be honest I haven't paid attention all year, but what you going to do about it now when we have 5 minutes left until I never have to see you ever again?" Just try to imagine the cartoon when their head goes bright read and smoke comes out of their ears , Done? That is how he looked right now. The whole class began to laugh which made me feel so much more confident seen as I was normally the shy one. "OUT NOW!!" he screamed at me, I chuckled under my breath before grabbing my bag, "Au revoir bitches!" I shouted as I left slamming the door behind me, there was no point in me staying for 3 minutes to then get lectured about how important my education is and that I should be paying more attention in class when I wasn't even going any further in my education. I didn't need to, I had all my degrees that I needed so what was the point in going to University ? I still had no idea what I wanted to do yet but I had a whole year to work that out. I am taking a gap year before I start to head off and decide what I want to do with my life and I think I deserve a break after being stuck in education for a good 16 years.

I walked to the tree where me and Sophie usually met before heading back to my house, the tree that was empty only a couple of months ago was standing tall blossoming beautiful green leaves from the branches. I can't wait to get the summer started. I saw Sophie coming out of the door just as the bell rang to signal the end of the school year. She immediately saw me, her eyes growing smaller, squinting at me and her head to the side almost like a lost puppy. "What are you doing out already ?" She questioned me as we started to walk over to the car park before jumping in the car, "Mr Burch sent me out because I wasn't paying attention." I explained as I put the keys in the exhaust before clicking my seat belt in place. "Jesus, I bet you got it in the kneck!" She laughed "Not really, there was only 5 minutes left of the lesson so I just walked out and waited at the tree for you." I explained, slowly reversing nearly hitting a pigeon, why are they are so dumb. "Oh," she remarked almost disappointed, I chuckled as we left the school gates. I turned up the radio but all the music was crap so I just turned it off and started to think about the summer, I AM SOOO EXCITED!
