21 - Man of Fire

I once saw a man so laden with fire,

Nothing could burn him in this world of desire,

Passing gazes with heat so frangible,

So tangibly fragile that they couldn't handle,

The truth, the lie, that nothing is real,

The flawed sense of wonder that makes hearts heal,

So they quarreled within, to put their demons to rest,

Awakening deeper aches in their chests.
