It didn't rain long today.
A shot spurt of cotton fury aimed at the grey stone walls of my existence.
5 minutes for a downpour , but it was enough to drench the roads and knock out the electricity in the street.
1 minute of flight , and then the drops met the gravel , some drops met the dirt, fewer the marble , and one died on my hand.
30 seconds of thunder and the trees came alive, bowing to their master , and bashing their leaves to prove their loyalty. And I proved mine , by closing the door lest a loyal leaf maim my mediocre feet.
5 seconds of lightning and that flash was enough for me to see you in the clouds, illuminated for a second, purple in your anger, blue in your sadness, and determined in your revenge.
1 second of light, and I forgot how to love the dark.
