~Then~
"CAPTAIN!! THE SHIP IS BEING TAKEN OVER!"
These blaggards are going to make our mission worse than anticipated... I thought.
"Oi! Domo! C'mere!" Kahtarina whisper-yelled. I crouched and scooted over to where she, Solice, Karstiela, and others were. We were below deck and soaking wet. It had been raining- and this ship has a lot of grates.
"Ok. So I was thinking- why not just slaughter 'em all and take it over?" Kat said, looking at the floor. I looked at her half-heartedly. "Kahtarina, don't ye think that's a little extent? And by the way, we have not the weapons to preform suck a task!" I whispered. Then there was a sound behind me, and a bit of shuffling.
"Then yer gonna need these." A man's voice rang. We turned at once and saw Daniel. He dropped more than eight swords, daggers, and pistols.
Kahtarina looked up at him, with hope in her green eyes. She grinned. "Thank you."

~Now~
I yawned and stretched as I sat up from my bed. I am always first to get up- and last to go down. Sailing a ship isn't always easy. Especially when I have to get one of our mates to sail for the night.
Jane Turner is normally the one I go for. She has a good sense of navigation- and she's one that doesn't talk as if she owns the beauty of the Black Dragon.
I looked around my small cabin. I shared this room with Karstiela and Solice. They were sleeping across the room. Karstiela on the top bunker, and Solice on the bottom.
I quietly walked over to the dresser we shared, and opened the bottom drawer- my drawer. I pulled out my grey knee breeches, my white woven socks, my white poet shirt, and my brown frock coat, along with my baldric, dagger, and pistol. I began dressing and I put on my leather shoes.
After dressing accordingly, I pulled my hair back and tied it with a white ribbon.
I left the cabin and walked down the low- light, stained hall leading to the below deck. As I walked, I looked at each door. One was broken off the hinges, and one was so filthy, it had barnacles on the bottom. I began to wonder when Davy Jones would take this ship down- or better yet, a Kracken.
Walking up the stairs to the main deck, I looked at the night sky. It was so peaceful out tonight. The stars glistened, and the moon was bright enough, that it illuminated the whole ship.
It was nice while the crew was sleeping. No chaos or havoc- just quiet stillness.
I walked up to the wheel and saw Jane steering slowly, her eyes looked as if they were weights, and her skin like mine rarely glowed.
"Ho, Jane! Are Ye tired this fine mornin'? It is nearly past four, and yer eyes look as if they will fall off any minute."
Jane slightly smiled and yawned greatly. "Aye, are Ye ready to take yer daily routine? I can ponder for a bit longer if needed..." She asked.
I nodded and walked around on my daily route. First- check the sails so Daniela can rigg them off. They looked in line. A bit tattered. But in a somewhat good condition. Second- head to the storage closet and get my instruments like my compass, map, and charts for wind patterns. Third- make sure everyone's things are prepped and ready for when they wake and head for their duty.
After finishing my morning routine, I walked back to the wheel to find that Jane had fallen asleep. She was resting upon the wheel and she snored every other second.
"Jane, why don't Ye get some rest? I'll wake yer scurvy ass up when it is half past noon." I said, smiling as she fluttered her eyes open. "Aye.... Thank you, Domo." I nodded and took hold of the wheel.
-----
The sun arose not more than an hour ago, and the only ones that have bothered to wake was Karstiela, Meredith, and Caliber. Karstiela had just left to go wake up Daniela so she could let down the sails.
Caliber was in the kitchen with Meredith- making a breakfast for the crew. I get the best meal next to the captain (Captain's orders, of course).
Caliber rushed out of the stairwell and ran up to the top deck were me and the ship's wheel were. He set a plate in front of me. "As the French say, 'Buon Appetit'!" He grinned, as his voice cracked.
The plate looked amazing! Since we only departed about two weeks ago from England, we don't have spoiled food.... Yet.
The plate had meats and eggs and vegetables scattered about. But they were placed in an organized matter- just how I like it.
"Tell Meredith that the plate looks as if she read my mind!-" I took a fork and took a bite. "-And it tastes as if the gods made it too!" Caliber smiled and said "Aye!!"
-----
Now the crew has somewhat awakened. It is almost a quarter til' noon. The only ones still not alive yet are Jane, Solice, Angelique, William, Davie, Jake, Jack, and the Queen of laziness herself- The Captain. Kahtarina loved to sleep, loved rum, and most importantly- she loved to be in charge.
It's a good thing she does too, because if she didn't, and wasn't so stern with us, she could not be tough enough for a position of authority.
I looked down at my compass. We were no longer headed East...but we were headed North instead.
It's a good thing too- we need to go around England and hit the western part of it. After that, we're off to the Caribbean. Right now, we are on course to sail past the Orkney Islands, and then travel to Glasgow, to do some trading and such.
I looked up from the compass and focused my eyes on something that was straight ahead of us.
My eyes dialated, and I froze at what I saw...
...no...it can't be...
