Into the woods || Chapter 4

(A/N) heeey guys! Kayla's still asleep and usually we help each other out in the writing department sooo I'm kinda iffy bout this but.. Let's do it 😏 (there might be lemon, Ima put Kayla to the test.

Aimee's pov:
It was the middle of the night, my mind asleep in a sweet dream, when suddenly I get shook awake by a pair of hands.

"Hey hot stuff, some of us are going outside into the woods to explore. Wanna come?" My face heats up as I realize it was Natsu, last night was pretty heated.. I hope it won't be awkward between us.

I wipe the sleep out of my eyes and mutter for him to give me two minutes to get ready.

I look over at the time and curse under my breath, 2:33 am. This better be good.

I pull on a pair of my black skinny jeans and a large hoodie, then tie on my red converse.

Natsu and I leave the house to see Kayla, Sting, Aliyah and Laxus. This probably isn't going to end well. Erza always took care of us.. If anything happens.. No I can't think like that, besides, Laxus is pretty strong.

"So what're we doing anyway? I'm only agreeing to come to make sure you guys don't do something stupid." I say grumpily, although honestly I love midnight adventures.

"Don't worry sleeping beauty, you'll get to sleep later. Now c'mon!" Natsu yells, taking my hand, which I attempt to slip out of, but he had a sort of heat coming from him and I somewhat enjoyed it.

I feel Laxus's eyes on the back of my neck, I turn and see him staring harshly at the ground.. Why was he always so serious?

"Heeey lax, why dontcha lighten up a bit. Smillllleeee" I tease, poking his cheek.

His eyes meet mine and for I second I thought he would say something, like how he was feeling, and a spark of hope lit within me. But instead he flicks my hand away, pretending I hadn't said anything.

My heart sank.

"Soooo, you guys wanna play hide and seek?" Kayla asks, realizing this adventure was absolute bull shit and all we were doing was freezing our asses off.

I snort, "hide and seek? I haven't played that since I was like 11."

"Not a bad idea short stuff!" Natsu exclaims, ruffling Kayla's hair, and the death glare she gave him was priceless.

We all trudged to a stop, realizing we had just come across the woods near my house. Erza always told me to stay away from these..

"I'm not going in there.." I say, my voice quivering a bit from the cold.

"It's alright baby I'll protect ya" Natsu says, intertwining our fingers.

"I'm not scared!" I yell, pulling my cold hand away from his warm one.

"Whatever you say pipsqueak" Laxus says, Kayla giggling.

I push them out of the way, walking straight into the woods that I'd been taught never to go in. I was usually obedient and honest, but I'm not going to let a bunch of losers push me around.

"AIMEE, WAIT UP" I hear Kayla yell as she runs after me, she'd always have my back.

The rest of the group follows, and we come to a stop in the forest, the lights from our phones keeping us lit up.

"Okay so here's how it's going to go. We're all going to split up. The goal is to find each other and tag them, whoever gets the most tags is the winner." Natsu says, his eyes driven to win.

"We're going to let the youngest person go and then the second youngest etc. So we'll all go at different times." Natsu informs us.

We all exchange birthdays and figure Kayla was the youngest, so she runs off into the forest, my mind wanting to run after her and make sure nothing happens.. But I know she'll be okay. Well I hope anyway.
