'It was just a dream Emiline.' I remind myself. I finally catch up with the tail of some read coats. Precisely the British demons patrol. They pull up to a house, him riding in front, giving orders. I can't hear what he's saying but by the looks of the families faces its not good. Men pull a blonde boy from the string of people and drag him to a tree, forcing a noose around his neck. I grab my knife and gun and then slip from my horse.

"No." I whisper as I approach. A young boy about fifteen I'd say runs over and screams "Gabriel, run!" Pushing the soldiers out of his way. The blue eyed demon lifts his gun. The, what I assume to be, father of them all runs over to his son screaming "No wait!" But he's to late, the triggers already been pulled. Gabriel, I assume anyway, yells "Thomas! No!" As the red coats drag him away tying him to the back of a wagon. Dammit! The red coats ride away leaving the man holding his dying son. Thomas? I may as well expose myself now, maybe. Help this man kill the bastard that killed his boy maybe. I emerge from my hiding place.

"Father." A young boy says. The man looks up.

"I'm a friend." I say. He looks back down at his dead son.

"All of you, Stay here." He instructs his children and me. He runs into his burning home. The man emerges from his home carrying various weaponry.

"What's your name?"

"Emiline Jones. I'm here to help you."

"If I needed help I'd ask for it. Go home girl." He gives guns to his younger children. I sigh and go back to my place behind the tree. I leave my horse and start running. I make my way to some trees along a path where I good and well know the red coats will pass. I don't know how I'm going to do this by myself but I've done it once before on a battalion smaller than this though. Then the Father from the plantation I just left and his kids stop behind a log. He speaks to them a moment. Then he finds a place in the trees by me.

"What the hell are you doing here?" He whispers.

"I've got a bone to pick. You shoot first." I say. He rolls his eyes and waits for the red coats to approach. I aim at an officer. The man shoots and all hell brakes loose down below. His boys shoot two other officers and now were working our way down. Soon myself and the man are on the ground chopping soldiers to bits. I'm good in hand to hand combat and with a gun, but with a knife, I could improve. I still do ok though. The little boys make their way down the hill they were perched in and make their way to... What was his names? Gabriel I think. Their father chases down a soldier with his ax.

"Look away and cover your ears boys." I stand trying to block the father from view. The young boys do as I instruct and I cut the ropes from I think Gabriel's hands.

"Thank you." I nod.

"Gabriel Martin." He reaches a hand out for me to shake.

"Emiline Jones. My friends call me Emily." I say shaking his hand timidly. I may talk a big game but in social situations I'm worthless.

"You've got a good eye, Emily. Some of the finest shooting I've ever seen."

"Thank you."

"My fathers name is Benjamin I don't suppose he's mentioned that though."

"No." He nods, leading me believe that he doesn't commonly give out his information. Benjamin walks back up covered in blood the boys open there eyes back up and uncover there ears.

"What did you say your name was?" Benjamin asks me when he approaches us covered in blood.

"Emiline Jones. My friends call me Emily though."

"Benjamin Martin. I wanna thank you. The extra gun helped."

"Anytime Mr. Martin." I began to walk away when Benjamin calls back to me.

"Where are you staying Emily?"

"Somewhere." I call back. I can almost here the scoff now.

"C'mon though we were friends. At least let me get you some good food. You look skinner than a stick." I sigh.

"Alright but after I eat I'm leaving."
