Emily POV

I try to stand up it works until I try to put weight on my leg that the man slashed. I've never felt pain like this before and one time my father lacerated my forehead with the butt of his gun. I fall back on my face. Gabriel walks over and picks me up, placing a hand behind my back and one in the bend of my knees. He follows his father out to by the fire where we all were less than four hours ago. Large, hot tears roll down my face. Gabriel sets me down on the ground and Benjamin sits across from me. Benjamin puts my leg in his lap and I bite my tongue as hard as I can. Benjamin works on my leg as I shake vigorously I'm guessing from loss of blood. Gabriel brushes my blonde curls that have fallen out of my braid back behind my head. I don't know how he does it but Benjamin stops the bleeding rather quickly then moves on to my arm. I'm beginning to feel very lightheaded. All of the trees are swooping around and the ground is quaking. I can't stop myself from vomiting when Benjamin probes the knife wound on my arm with his fingers. Involuntary tears trek down my cheeks and small screams leave my mouth. I notice Gabriel restraining my legs and my arms.

"I'm sorry, Emily. It's almost over." Loud sobs escape my mouth and I toss my head back in pain.

"Please stop. Please, please stop!" I scream out clinching my eyes shut.

"I'm sorry, Emily," Benjamin repeats. "I'm done." The pain slowly fades and as he stops touching the wound. I mean it's still there but just not as full force as I was when he was fixing it.

"I'm sorry you had to see that." I say my cheeks heating up.

"Don't be sorry." Benjamin gets up. I look him over. He's covered in blood. Not to the degree he was the day he hacked the British soldier into bits in a river but it was still generously covering his white shirt and black pants. It finally dawns on me that's my blood covering Benjamin. I must have much more blood in me then I thought. The trees are still swooping around and the ground also proceeds to quake. I'm quite surprised that nobody else seems effected in the least by the vibrations of the ground.

"Emily. Can you walk?" Benjamin asks me. I wish to cause them no more trouble.

"Yes. Just help me up?" Gabriel offers me a hand. I feel incapasitatingly dizzy.

"Thank you." I stand up but am hesitant to put weight on my leg where it's been slashed. After a few seconds I do it and literally fall down on my face. A humorless chuckle erupts from Benjamin's lips. Gabriel lifts me up in his arms and I'm to tired to protest. In fact the last thing I see before I see darkness is a flash of red on my leg and Gabriel looking at me shocked.
