So you have a little busy body learner, me too! My youngest daughter has done everything from papier-mâché her bedroom carpet with toilet paper, repainted her walls and cupboard with bright red finger paint and drawn on her pale pink curtains with black permanent marker. Nope, I didn't take it all to easy, my Mom reckoned that she was just expressing herself. At that stage I was ready to put her in the car and let her rather be expressive at Grannies house!
All that aside, you need to bring a lot of play and role play into your home. Believe it or not but the is the way that children learn best. From small one day projects like making a pirate sword out of the paper towel inner or planting a veggie garden to week long projects such as building a guinea pig enclosure. Bring them into the measuring and planning, the carrying and fetching. Without them even knowing it they are learning valuable mathematical skills in a way that will never be forgotten. Enrich their lives as well as yours. Remember, you are homeschooling, learning doesn't only come out of a book.
