I have heard this statement more than once, and this is my take on it. If you have decided as a parent that from birth it is easier, for the peace of the household, to give in to the demand of your kid, rather than take the harder, more time consuming path to theach them what is right, wholesome and healthy – you are GOING to have a brat on your hands! Your child should not dictate to you, ever, if they do its because you have allowed it to happen.
There is hope. You can change this with hard work, its not impossible, don't give up, the results will be worth your while. It is also not going to change overnight, remember you are a good parent and good parents don't leave discipline and the teaching of manners and strong moral character up to the iPad or the school system.
Get in there and be the parent you were meant to be!
