Dave and Raven flew through the night with their duffel bags strapped to them, getting as far south as they could before the need to sleep overpowered the pair. Dave sloppily landed due to his tiredness unlike Raven who landed with ease and grace as if it was second nature, which it basically was to her. Raven used her dragon form a lot and trained whenever she had free time, she constantly honed her skills to ensure victory. Raven didn't like to be weak.

Dave on the other hand was a much gentler spirit, he'd actually always dreamed of being a doctor and had been studying since he was 14, unfortunately Lady Luck wasn't on his side and he was forced to run from the slayers that pursued him when he went through the transformation. However he managed to keep some of his medical books which he referenced quite a bit because Raven got into some stupid situations. Dave was never fond of a fight, unlike Raven who seemed to have violence course through her veins.

He turned to his human form and watched Raven with his bright blue eyes as she checked the perimeters of their campsite, still in dragon form. The sun was beginning to rise and the light reflected off of Raven's scales. The blue looked even more intense while the black contrasted it nicely. Dave smiled, even in her dragon form Raven was still beautiful. He'd watched her grow up in the past two years, almost three now, she had grown into quite the young lady. Well a violent, blood thirsty, scary and sarcastic young lady, but a young lady nonetheless. "Hey Raven," Dave called to her and she turned to him, her muscles tense "I think we're safe, why don't we get some rest?"

Raven contemplated it for a moment and nodded, Dave was able to usually talk some kind of sense into her, she was still as stubborn as a mule though. Raven began shifting to her human form, a black tank top and red spandex shorts hugging her light mocha skin. Raven then pulled a blanket from her duffel bag and she hit the ground. She wrapped herself in the blanket and used her bag as a pillow. Dave chuckled lightly, knowing she'd be asleep within a matter of minutes. He followed suit and closed his eyes, hoping sleep would wrap him in its sweet embrace.

Not too far away sat a town with quite the infamous reputation among the creature population. This town was where a lot of illegal and abnormal transactions happened. It not only specialized in illegal trade for creatures, but humans as well. The result of this though was that the town was filled with crime and many shady characters. The town thrived on an eat or be eaten philosophy, this was actually literal in a few cases. In this shady town, a fire haired boy sat at a computer in a run down warehouse, typing away with incredible speed. Liam grinned as multiple pages flashed up on the screen. "Shit..." One of the guys observing mumbled "You actually did it..."

Liam rolled his forest green eyes "Of course I did, it was child's play" That had been the third computer system he hacked that night. He didn't ask questions, simply received his payment and left, it was an effective system. "Where's my money?" he asked the group leader. The oldest guy of the group handed Liam a wad of cash.

"Here you go, now don't tell anyone about this" The guy growled.

Liam chuckled, "Yeah yeah, pleasure working with you gentleman." He mock saluted them and walked out of the warehouse. Liam walked down the street as everyone was starting their days. Shopkeepers were setting up stands up and down the street, other sellers stood on corners to alleyways, and big burly men guarded entrances to the more secluded areas. Liam thought about what he had to do, he had another 'appointment' at lunch time, so he still had time to spare. Liam smiled and walked to a little bakery on the corner. The reason the bakery had thrived was because they had really good food and the owner's husband was a retired dragon slayer. He knew there were halfbreeds in the town but he didn't care, it wasn't his problem anymore.

As Liam walked inside the store owner greeted him, "Hey there Lee, you want the usual?"

"Yes please Martha" Liam replied with a grin. She was a kind woman and nice to everyone who entered her shop. She gave Liam a couple pastries and he put cash on the counter, knowing he overpaid. Martha playfully glared at him "You overpaid again Liam."
