chapter 22: Feelings

Akise's POV:

"I have two questions to ask you, 1) Can Yukii really bring back the dead if he becomes a god, 2) Why did you bring Ryoko into our world?"

Deus was silent for a minute, I must know the answer for these questions, I have to so I can save Ryoko.

"Very well, I'll tell you the answer to your first question."

As soon as Deus told me I was in shock, if this is true why is Ryoko still helping them? There must be a reason for it but now I'm concerned for Ryoko, I can't let her die.

"I must tell Yukii about this."

Deus grabbed me before I could leave.

"I'm afraid you can't leave here, for it's your future to die here, your just an observer I created, you have no free will."

I was shocked, Deus...created me? I felt myself starting to fall apart (literally).

"That's not true, I'm my own person!"

"I created you for the survival game because the future changing so many times, your curiosity was only so I could know what's going on. Now you must return to the records. But I'll give you a chance to live, if you can tell me one thing that you did in your life that was on your own free will you'll live."

"Okay, I kept tabs on Yukii."

"I needed someone to watch him since he was a prime candidate for wining the survival game."

"I was keeping tabs on ___."

"I needed someone to see what 10th was up to when he went into hiding."

I was falling apart even faster now, if I don't do something fast I'll disappear.

"I investigated Yuno."

"2nd is a key player, I needed someone to keep an eye on her."

"I helped 8th."

"It wasn't her time to die yet."

I've almost fully disappeared, why can't I think of something that I did on my own free will?

"It looks like you can't find something that you did on your own free will, your future ends here."

I was about to fully vanish, but then I thought of something, it has to work!

"I'm not done yet!" I could feel my body slowly appearing again. "What about my love for Ryoko?!"

Deus was shocked by what I said, which means that I finally found something that proved I have a free will.

"That's right! I'm in love with Ryoko, even when she left I still developed feelings for her. My love for Ryoko is real, and I'm going to save her from this game!"

"Very well, you have proven to me that you have a free will. You have rewritten a huge part of the future. I was right to add 13th in the game, having you fall in love with Ryoko wasn't planned, you were supposed to fall in love with Yukiiteru but it looks like Ryoko changed your future."

I'm a little surprised to hear that last part, now that I think about it Ryoko did say no funny business with Yukii...well now I know what she ment by that.

I was about to leave as soon as Deus stopped talking to me when the short girl came up to me.

"My name is MuruMuru, stop calling me a short girl."

"I'm not going to ask why you read my mind, what do you need?"

"I'm not sure you can change Ryoko's future, her body in her world isn't doing so well."
