chapter 23: Returning "home"

"She's waking up."

A voice? Who's voice is that?

Wait a minute, are you supposed to hear a voice when your dead?

I slowly opened my eyes, I was in a room with doctors surrounding me...I'm in a hospital, someone get me out of here.

Wait, why am I in a hospital, shouldn't I be dead?

"Your finally awake, ever since you fell off that building you've been in a coma for three months."

What? But I was stabbed in the chest and bled to death.

Wait a minute...

"A-am I I-in t-the real w-world?" I managed to say, for some reason my voice sounded like I haven't talked in months.

"There's only one world, you must have dreamed about being in a different world while you were in your coma." One of the doctors said.

I had a hard believing this, everything felt too real to be a dream. Everything I went through for three months WAS real, I don't care if everyone thinks I'm crazy, it WAS real and I really DID end up in an anime.

After all, why else would my feelings for Aru be real?

And I'm not talking about an anime crush kind of love, I'm talking about a love that's 100% real. I want to go back, I want to see Aru in person again.

Suddenly a nurse walked in the room. "Miss Minami, someone's here to see you."

Someone wants to see me? Why? It's not like I interact with anyone.

Suddenly someone walked into the room. My eyes widened, it was my father.

"I need to talk to you." My father said, not saying my name or looking me in the eye.

Question, is it possible to go into a coma on your own free will?

Akise's POV:

It all happened so fast.

I confessed my love to Ryoko, before she could say how she felt she sacrificed herself to save everyone, Ryoko was stabbed in the chest by Iwao, Yuno got pissed and killed Iwao, Ryoko thanked Yuno for being her friend and she told me that she loved me back before she died.

The moment she died, her body disappeared and I was transported to a dark empty room. Now the only thing I have left is Ryoko's diary. I was constantly looking at her diary, especially the last entry that was written in it:

'Iwao tries to kill Yuno and Aru but I get in his way and he stabs me instead, I tell Yuno that I'm glad we became friends and I tell Aru that I love him. I end up bleeding to death. -Dead End-'

"Why does it have to be this way?" I say out loud.

"Your going on about her again?" A voice said, I don't know who the voice is but she's been here for a while, talking to me whenever I think about Ryoko.

"Yes."

"I see, so do you love her?"

"Yes, Ryoko is very important to me."

"Do you miss her?"

"Yes, I wish I could see her again."

"So you do care for her. What if I told you that she was still alive?"

I quickly sat up. "Are you serious?!"

"Yup. Ryoko is still alive, she's in her world."

"How is that possible, I thought once she dies she can't be brought back to life?"
