  ~•Two weeks after the move•~

   Dorothy's P.O.V.
We got moved in after two weeks, I started homeschool, because there wasn't  a public school here. There was no children. It's lonely, and isolated here. I was the only child in this town. I just want to be with my old friends.... I thought to myself.

I stayed in this room, it was the only place I could think to myself. I wish there was another child here... I.... I am lonely.... I hugged my knees, sitting in a corner next to the window. Something about this house is not right. There is something off about it.  It might be because it is so old. I thought. I got up, and brushed the dust off my dress, looking out the window. It was dark outside. I took a deep, long breath.

I was in a trance, looking out the window when a knock on my door. One of the maids walked in my room. "Dorothy,  dinner is ready." I smiled. "Oh.... Thank you." She nodded, and then, she left the room.

I walked down the dark hallway, flowerpots with roses in them lined it. Walking past the main entrance and the main room,  I  walked straight into the dining room. The candles there provided light, so it wasn't dark. "Hello Dorothy. Are you ready for dinner?" Asked Mother. "Yes, Mother."

I sat down, and ate dinner, after I ate, I washed my hands.  I saw mom and dad talking in the main room.  "Ah, Dorothy. How are you, are you getting used to house after the move?"

I forced a small smile. "I am fine, thank you. And yes, I am used to the house." I lied. Thankfully, they didn't see through it. "Ah. I am glad you like it here." Mother said. I quickly smiled, and walked to my room, getting into my night gown, and falling asleep.

                    ~timeskip~

...I woke up, startled. I am not sure why, I just suddenly woke up. "Ugh..." By the looks of it, it was still.... Nighttime? That is very strange....usually, I get up at 8:00...it should be lighter out buy then... I checked the clock, which read midnight, exactly. Strangely enough, there was creaking in the corridor, was someone sneaking around?

I threw my legs over the bed, and walked quietly to the oak door, slowly opening it. It made a creaking sound as it opened.

I swallowed nervously. Walking out into the hall. I felt more and more anxiety build up in me as I went father down. As much as I wanted to go back, I kept pushing myself onwards, closer. Closer to the entrance.

I started to twist the door handle, the knot in my stomach building up. I started to open the door. ... ... ... ...

There was nothing there.

I took a deep breath, sighing at my own stupidity.  I started to turn around. "Dorothy, you need to stop being-" SLAM. I was cut off from my lecture by a loud noise. A noise from downstairs. A noise from the sewers.

There was only one way down to the sewers, my room. There was a door by the grandfather clock in my room. The  door led to the stairs leading down to the sewers.

I had to get back to my room. Mother and father would be angry if I didn't. But if I went back there, I'd have to face whatever that... Creature... was. It couldn't of been a rodent, the noise was too loud. I doubt one the maids or my parents would go down there, that would be ridiculous.

I was in front of my bedroom door now.  I grabbed the shiny, round golden knob, gently, twisting it. I pushed it open a little bit. Farther. Farther. I opened the door completely, and walked into the room. As soon as I did I shut my eyes closed tightly.

After a while of no noise or signs of anyone or anythings presence in my room, I opened my eyes, and looked at the sewer door.

My breathing grew shaky and I choked back. The door was wide open, with wet footprints leading up the stairs.

Somebody was here. I am not alone.

I steped back, on someone's shoe. I spun around, and surprisingly managed to hold back a scream.

It was a boy about my age, who had black hair and purple eyes. He was extremely pale, and was wearing a blackish-red suit, with a white dress shirt underneath and stringy black tie with black shorts and loafers. He had long white socks.

"Hello, my name is Sue. You must be Dorothy..?" He chuckled, smiling. "....Yes...." His smile faded. "Good to meet you. No one can see me right now except for you, but everyone will be able to see me... Next week. We will then play a game....Do you like 'Hide And Seek'?"  I stayed silent. With an outfit like that, he couldn't of possibly come from the sewers....

He chuckled again. "You seem confused. Remember, it was you who wanted a friend. I'm here now. Next week, we will play 'Hide And Seek'. I will not see you until then. Goodbye, Dorothy. I wish you luck."
