CASSANDRA'S POV
"Casey, would you be my girlfriend?"
Time froze at that minute. Only thing I did was stood there and stare at this gorgeous boy in front of me. Wasn't I waiting for this moment?
Did he just ask me to be his girlfriend? My heart sunk on my feet and I blanked out like literary. I opened and closed my mouth a couple of times to answer but nothing came out. I can see that he's waiting for my response but I can't seem to speak.
And because I'm stupid, "What?" I blurted out. His face fell in disappointment as he was probably expecting a yes. I do wanna say yes but it just came out wrong.
"Uhm... I'm sorry, if you're not-" I cut him off before he could finish.
"I am!" I said without thinking, making him look at me weirdly like I'm some psycho who has mental issues, I couldn't blame him.
"Huh?" He said confused. Clinton's arms were still on my waist an I don't know how long we've been floating here like this.
"What?" I said. Nothing is functioning in me right now and I sound like a retarded person.
"You said 'I am'," he repeated and I sighed. Am I ready for this? Am I ready to start a relationship? Am I scared of falling in love? Yes I am. This is my first time since I don't do dates and it terrified me. Maybe I could give him a try and see where it leads us.
Clinton started to look hopeless so I had to do something, "Uhm, could you ask me again?" I said dumbly. I don't even know what I'm saying right now.
"Would you be my girlfriend?" He asked carefully this time like if he speed up, I would collapse like a fragile glass.
"What could you offer?" I said and he frowned at me.
"What do you mean?" I like messing with him cause his expressions are priceless!
"I mean if I'm going to be your girlfriend, what could you offer?" I said, running my fingers through his glistening wet hair. Everyone was busy chatting in the patio and no one was even paying attention to us so I'm good.
"Let's see, I could give you whatever you like," he said, convinced by what he's saying but I wasn't. I already know my answer though, I'm just testing the waters. Ha! I made a pun!
"Nope, I want specific answers," I said and he thought of it for a moment.
"I'll treat you like a princess and shower you with happiness and love and all those lovey dovey shit." He said, at least he's trying for me. I grinned at him and pressed a kiss on his lips, he responded and kissed back. Our lips melded perfectly together and our tongues battled out for dominance, kissing him hard.
"So, is that a yes?" He pulled away and asked. I tried kissing him but he backed away. "Answer Casey, I've been dying for the answer all night," he said desperately and I let out a giggle.
"Yes Meyers!" I said teasingly. Clinton wrapped his arms around me and pulled me in, closing the gap between us as we kissed feverishly. I know there's too much kissing!
"Oh and a lot of sex," he murmured against my lips. "Lots and lots of sex," I shoved him back and he chuckled. But I'm looking forward to that, honestly.
"I believe in actions Meyers," I said before swimming out to the stairs of the pool.
My clothes were soaked and I need to dry up before coming inside the house. There was a pool house in the corner of the backyard and I entered to find a huge bathroom which consisted of an elegant shower, toilet and a double sink. I switched on the lights and took a clean towel from the rack, stripping my clothes off.
