HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Omega's POV
The next night at the camp fire, I was sitting at the back, listening to everyone sing along.
I kept thinking about how much I didn't want to be here, and how Chaos shouldn't've sent me here so early. I should've come for the war and that's it.
"No, you need to be here," a voice said beside me and I turned my head, not even shocked that the most powerful man in the universe was now sitting next to me.
"When you told me that the quest would help me find myself, you were being literal, weren't you?" I asked and he chuckled.
"Yes. You're going to have to go on this quest, and you'll eventually tell people who you are or let them figure it out. The quest is to help you get ready for the rest of your life. You'll be finding the next Wonderer here, and that person will be your next love."
My eyes widened. "What are you talking about?" I whispered in a harsh voice, but he chuckled and disappeared. I sighed and put my head in my hands.
After a few seconds, there was a loud 'pop' and everyone was standing and holding their weapons.
"Who are you?" Annabeth shouted and I stood up to see whole she was talking to.
It was Chaos. He was standing in front of everyone in his nice black suit.
"I am Chaos," he said and suddenly Chiron bowed and everyone followed his lead.
"My Lord," he said, "What brings you here?"
"There's no reason to bow," he told them and everyone went and sat back down. "I'm here to talk about the Great Prophecy. There's something you should know. It's not a normal prophecy. In normal prophecies, the verses go in order of what happens. This one does not. For example, the second to last line just took place. And you will bow at the return of the great king. That just happened.
"Well, the only reason I really appeared here is to inform Omega that he is allowed to let down his guard and that he can be himself, and to tell him to try and not kill anyone. Also, I think that it would be best if each cabin asked Omega a question. Okay, good luck." And with that, he disappeared. Asshole.
"So, each cabin gets to ask you a question?" A camper asked me and I sighed and stood up.
"I guess so."
Each cabin went and sat by each other and started talking about what they should ask. I stood by the campfire, waiting for them to be done.
It took ten minutes.
Hephaestus asked first.
"How do you rule eighty seven planets at once and keep them all peaceful?" Leo asked and I shrugged.
"It's not that hard. I set up the same system on each planet. There are six classes on every planet, each as important as the rest. There are the Meds, the Builders, the Businesses, the Cleaners, the Scholars and the Warriors. On your twenty third birthday, you got to what is called the Omega Center, and you get sorted into your class. Sorting is not a random thing. At each Omega Center, there are five people who I have blessed with the ability to go into someone's mind and figure out what they're best at. Once you go into a class, you have until you twenty five to figure out the sub class you can to be in. Like in the Meds, do you want to be a surgeon, or would you like to be a person who works at a nursing home?
"They always stay peaceful because every few years, I go and I pick up the list of anyone who was accused, or convicted of a crime and I either set them straight, or I kill them. So, one day there will be a prison full of inmates, the next, it's full of bodies."
