In my darkest times you were my light
Telling me everything was fine
That we'd be ok
I believed you
I got used to your touch on my skin
The way you would look at me and smile
The way you would sleepily grab me and pull me closer
I got used to the love that you gave me
And you took it away
Letting me drown I my own thoughts
You weren't there to save me
The pain was surreal
It felt like a dream
Except it wasn't
You were a dream and this is my new reality
Your not there anymore holding me saying everything will be ok
I don't have your warmth surrounding me
Your words are still in my head
The promises that you said
Nothing but a dream
A wonderful dream
Now I lay in darkness
Letting my mind take over
And my blade to comfort me
The darkness took over
And the light is gone
