Drama. Drama. Drama. This is all Dan Howell heard all day. Drama. Its for the better, he tells himself. He swears his mom isn't hurt. She's just adjusting. Everyone likes him better this way. Nobody liked him before. He swears his friends are real. He swears that everything he does is for the better
Shaking his head Dan closes his locker and walks down the hallway to class. He walks in the classroom with his bag hung over his shoulder. No one was shocked. Not even the teacher. Even if people where shocked they only would be because he came to school in the first place. The teacher went silent for a few moments then went back to writing on the white board like nothing had happened. It's not like if she where to do something that it would have made a difference. She has tried everything before. Nothing worked. No amount of detentions, calls home, visits to the principal, nothing.
Dan walks to the back sitting next to his friends who where signaling him over. Sitting down in an empty chair the friend sitting next to him, Luke, speaks up. "I didn't expect you to come to school today?" Luke looks over at Dan smiling while Max leans forward in his seat behind them. "Especially not after last night." Max smirks as Dan laughs swatting him away with his hand. "I told you nothing happened!" Dan states smiling. The teacher clears her throat and the three boys look up at her. "Mr. Howell, I'm happy you came to class but it would be nice if you paid attention." she turns around walking back to the front of them room as Max sits back in his seat and Luke looks forward.
Dan's eyes dart around the room looking from classmate to classmate to at least get some kind of memory of who was in his class. He turns his head directly across the room to see a pair of blues eyes staring right back at him. Dan stayed just like that staring right back into their eyes. Quickly Dan averted his gaze down to the table. He could still feel eyes on the back of his head but still refused to look back at them. Dan had kept his head down until the bell rang signaling that class was over. Dan got up, grabbed his stuff, and quickly rushed out of the classroom.
